Digi RM1 unlimited is the best in the market because it allows tethering and does not block bit torrent.

oh , so it's purely a data plan with no unlimited call option.

i think it's quite pointless to invest billions of ringgit to a technology that will expire in another 10 years time. (6G later)

Our telcos should have just invested their money to fiberize the entire country.

won't the billions of ringgit be better spent to upgrade fiber to 1TBPS connection, which is more future proof, than to spend money on something that expires in 10 years time?

I would prefer my home fiber to be upgraded to 10GBPS, 100GBPS or 1 TBPS speed, than to have my 5G phone that connect at 100mbps on average speed?

i would rather my phone stays as a form of communication, and not intrude into my personal space and life.

In my own opinion, it's not easy to compete with Hotlink unlimited 3mbps internet (50GB FUP) and unlimited call plan.

Technically hotlink is giving us 50GB a month for RM35 ... (RM30 if we take the HotlinkMU offer).

Digi, has its pros though. The rewards are much better, can get discounted food etc. They are more generous too in terms of giving surprise credit to buy their rewards. I also like their always active feature.

In short, I think each telco has its strength.

With so many people out of job, prepaid is becoming popular again. This explains why telco now switching back to prepaid promotion again.

to offer unlimited data to those with low data usage. Customer likes the 'buffet' plan, although he is unlikely to use that much data anyway. Telco also won't lose too much because they know the customer is a reasonable data user. Win-win.

offer unlimited call to people who use data only, but seldom call. In this way, customer may be tempted to accept the buffet call offer. win-win

The AI system will not match unlimited data to heavy data users, or heavy callers with unlimited calls. It is programmed with one sole purpose - to persuade users to spend more than they already do each month, therefore pushing ARPU.

cannot be used for hotspot, ok I got my answers. Not going to subscribe to this plan.

The options/solutions are clearly available. But digi still has lots of perks , reward much better so I chose to stay. And it’s cheaper
