P/s : wherever i go with the bike i'm always on full gear, Mesh Jacket with back pad, chest pad, elbow pad integrated, gloves with sliders, boots, knee and side shin pad, thigh protector and lower back protector, it's quite troublesome and bulky but i guess if you are a beginner better be safe than sorry.
*
I've been riding big bikes for more than 25 years now.

Even until today, how pro I am...I will always wear my full safety gears whether I ride, wear like this even on my daily ride to work.

Troublesome or not...safety first.
When you are critically injured, you life will be more troublesome. Think about it.

It will be too late by the time you regret for not wearing full safety gears.

New Vulcan should be at 36k before OTR. Spec wise Honda win all. But riding position totally different. Both not really comparable.
*
New Vulcan s got abs ?

I sold my Vulcan s after riding for 2 years because no abs.
Else I will continue riding this bike.

Actually the CB650R n MT09 price gap a minor different... kinda dilemma. Of coz CC wise MT09 win hands down.

Any advice?
*
Test ride both
And decide yourself

You can easily compare the specs sheets.
But the feel, the ride, you have you test it yourself

Power delivery is smooth and solid. 2k-7k rpm range not so strong. But after 8k rpm is where all the horses are awoken. Best feeling. Handling is fine I guess. Haven’t tried city traffic and not planning to. Riding position is a little uncomfortable for me. Aesthetic wise, it’s a very good looking bike. Braking is not as strong as I thought it would be. Can be better imo.
*
So when can I test your bike?

No lah.
No jealous. I got my own bike. Bigger bike.

Just trying to emulate how people India collect their new bikes. They have a celebration.
If you want one we can organise one. Lol.
