wah, after reading all the post....me newbie also....CB250R or CB650R leh? i am actually looking to get cb250R cuz its beginner friendly.
*
what your current bike now?

Mine is 110cc kapcai bike.
After all research i found, CB650R is amateur friendly bike
You can straight start to this bike
If go to CB250R after few weeks you might feel bored
*if financial is not your problem

yeah i saw too but as mentioned by the post above, it all depends on the honesty of the seller so.....am abit sked la cuz im told by a friend if the bike has an accident before, the alignment of the front wheel is very hard to adjust to become straight and it will be a problem. Since i have no experience i am quite sked lo. 0 experience in bike
I dont have bike, am getting B full License at the moment, bored of driving car d

am looking at CB250R cuz all reviews mentioned its a beginner friendly bike where as CB650R didnt state that so........

why do you feel that i might feel bored with cb250r? cuz of low max speed?
according to states cb250r 0-100 takes around 8 secs?
and cb650r around 4 secs?

gila fast liao haha
*
take a look at all bike channel at youtube
all said easy for new rider even with 0 exp

What actually set you back to straight pick up cb650r?

-i am really want to go for mid range bike(naked) for daily commute (Seremban - Damansara - seremban) around 140km++
-before this i am looking at these bikes
a) MT07 - Good looking but it 2 cylinder want to buy this until CB coming out
b) Street Triple - Expensive, good looking, but europe bike so maintaining a bit expensive than jap bike
c) Ducati monster- Expensive, good looking, but europe bike so maintaining a bit expensive than jap bike
d) Suzuki SV - 1 cylinder, quite seldom heard people use this bike, a bit ugly on my POV
e) Kawa Z650 - abit ugly on my POV
f) Kawa z800/900 - ugly, heavy,

and then Prefer CB650f - seems ok, but headlamp ugly

Wait until CB650R come out
now still waiting Benelli 752S - this one stand out among all.. but let see realiability, + not coming to malaysia yet

Since you already research enough, should be no problem on maintain the bike in terms of financial.
Have your check with Honda where can let you have a try before making decision?
BTW, if i will you, i might looking for touring bike for more comfort riding. Your daily routine is not a short distance.
*
1) in my POV, touring bike higher seat high(i am only 170cm) e.g. Versys higher 5-7cm compare to CB650R
and bulkier/wider than any bike i mention (cb650r,mt,etc)
2) cant vroom, vroom let off some steam

Finally took delivery of this beast. First impression: very smooth.

Anyways, anyone knows a phone holder which is compatible with this bike?

wow. almost a year already. Tbh, i took delivery right one day before MCO 1.0 hence i can't really do much long touring on this bike. furthest I've went also Tangkak for lunch. yeah. for lunch and came home. lol

Overall, i think it's the top 3 most good looking bike in the 650cc range. I still can't get bored of its looks till today. Power delivery for me, erm, i got used to the torque already and i'm looking forward to the 1litre range already. Tried my friend's Triumph T120, jesus christ. that torque is miles away from my bike. Since this is a 4 cylinder bike, i think there's nothing to fault on. just wished it has more electronics such as cornering abs, selectable traction control, launch control and sorts as what you can find on Aprilla RS660.

I remember i took awhile to get used to the riding position when i first took delivery. wrist all numb cause not used to it yet. right now it feels quite natural already.

No regrets whatsoever till today. Now just casually take the bike go mamak tapao lunch. good weekend bike nonetheless, titi/frasers/genting all quite syok.

Looking forward to Phuket road trip once all these nonsense is over.
