Donโ€™t know why I donโ€™t quite like naked bike.

I'm with you on this as it looks kinda incomplete to me. But as I age, I think I don't mind the more relaxed upright riding position of standard and nakeds. But they still look incomplete to me though.

However, that being said, looks are subjective and to each his own ya

wow. almost a year already. Tbh, i took delivery right one day before MCO 1.0 hence i can't really do much long touring on this bike. furthest I've went also Tangkak for lunch. yeah. for lunch and came home. lol

Overall, i think it's the top 3 most good looking bike in the 650cc range. I still can't get bored of its looks till today. Power delivery for me, erm, i got used to the torque already and i'm looking forward to the 1litre range already. Tried my friend's Triumph T120, jesus christ. that torque is miles away from my bike. Since this is a 4 cylinder bike, i think there's nothing to fault on. just wished it has more electronics such as cornering abs, selectable traction control, launch control and sorts as what you can find on Aprilla RS660.

I remember i took awhile to get used to the riding position when i first took delivery. wrist all numb cause not used to it yet. right now it feels quite natural already.

No regrets whatsoever till today. Now just casually take the bike go mamak tapao lunch. good weekend bike nonetheless, titi/frasers/genting all quite syok.

Looking forward to Phuket road trip once all these nonsense is over.

Saw one just like yours today on the LDP. Same colour too. Nice bike and nice rider too. I turned off towards Sunway and he continued towards Puchong.

Not sure... last year KMM stop distribute kawasaki bikes and all related to bike.

The right's now given to modenas.
And KMM plan to bring in suzuki bike to malaysia.

Since then no news what happen.

Plans are under way but no idea when is the announcement of the move from Kawa to Suzuki. I'm happy being a Suzuki owner that the 'former' Kawa people are taking over. They did a great job pushing Kawasaki and I'm pretty sure they will do a good job with Suzuki.

BTW, one high end Kawa dealer has already ordered their stock of new Suzuki models for their showroom...waiting only now...

Sweet though looking very similar. The CB's stand out feature is its 4 pipes.

It seems Honda has better value for money for used unit than bought new. Heheh.

Saw this bike at Eang Chun yesterday. Looks clean but I would put back the original exhaust.

New model have chassis, forks, brakes all upgraded, and traction control.
The old platform would be very much a compromise by today's standard, a bit like Z800 ABS tbh.

If you like it, there's nothing wrong with it being a simpler and less modern bike.

I read that even the rider triangle in the R is adjusted to be more sporty than the F

basically, the way i see it, so long bike brands still operate like kapchai bike shop, there is no hope on the big bike after sales maintenance and warranties.

But the guys handling Suzuki now (formerly Kawa) should be quite ok right? Were there any issues with Kawa parts before this? (Ya, I know this is slightly off topic biggrin.gif )

Well people buy the CBR650R thinking it's a super sports. It's not.

Small displacement 4s are usually quite gutless midrange. My old FZR400 has nothing under 8k rpm. Ride it like driving a car and you'd wonder where all the ๐ŸŽ go. Even the z900 isn't that strong midrange...the powerband is so linear you don't have that kick you expected from 125hp.

Those new 800cc 270 crank twins however....
*
You're right. It is a sport tourer, not a super sports One of the last of its kind for now. There are newer ones though coming up from other brands but it will take some time to trickle into the market. Bikes like the GSX8R (here already), Triumph Trident based 660 sport bike etc.

But you are also right in saying the midrange is well, I wouldn't say bad, just that it was not tuned to be a super sport and gradual performance is more of what they designed it to be. A friend of mine owned the CB650R and he said the same thing about the midrange...he sold it and bought am MT09.

But I don't mind sport tourers, I actually prefer them over super sports due to their less committed riding position, more day-to-day versatility. It just depends what the riders expect from their bikes.

so you wish to go bigger cc in the future?

Wah you keep track of my rides biggrin.gif Actually I dunno...I have my eyes on the RE GT650 now that it has alloys (really don't like spokes). But it's not time to make a decision yet. Work is simply taking too much of my personal time at the moment. I actually like the CBR650R but there are many others that are catching my eye as well these days (the China ones) like the CFMoto 500 (4 cylinder) and the 675SR (3 cylinder) and also the QJ moto 600RC. The CFMoto aren't launched yet though. Just concept at the moment.

I intend to cap the pricing to RM40k and below (no super sport or ADV for me tho). Those who know me, will know I prefer fully faired sport tourers but I think due to age, I'm considering the RE as well biggrin.gif

naked no like? the 800nk macam quite alot of bike for little money

Naked ah? Only the retro types. I had an SV650X, somehow that bike didn't quite gel with me. The looks I mean. My preference has been full faired or if naked, retro only.

Yeah the NK does offer a lot for the price ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
