QUOTE(kambing69 @ Apr 29 2021, 07:29 PM) Thanks.. Before deciding on CB650R, I have test ridden MT09~ while it is a good bike, with torque all over the place even on the highest gear, I am still not motivated enough to proceed on buying it~ last 3 weeks I've test ridden my friend's CB650R, I instantly fallen in love to it~ enough to make me to call BW Setapak and place booking on the next day~ people may say that Yamaha MT has more character, which I don't deny it, but the more refreshed look and the sound of four-inline really get to my heart~ I consider myself as casual rider, so the good quality of Honda and 'tamer' ride is good enough for me~For the question.. it is boring as per it does what it purposely do good. And that its.. no other characters.. Example mt07 characteristics was "Fun" and mt09 was really a "monster" haiz hard to explained..its like its do everything good but ntg exceptional and then some FLAW are the characteristics.. ... Its all subjective actually.. Even bmws1000rr labelled as no character and boring... Its all just how u feel |

QUOTE(myroy @ Jun 1 2021, 01:18 AM) For me easy.... I have the same view with you too. As a beginner, this bike is good enough for me. Greetings from Dungun.Because HONDA... This is my first big bike For sure i need something reliable and bullet proof dont get me wrong i dint say trident easy to break what so ever, but yeahh honda better Mybe let say one day after i bored with my CB650R and got money to burn yeah i will choose BMW, Aprilia, other than typical jap brand (yamaha, honda) Notable differences of this 2021 model compared to the previous model includes Dunlop Sportmax D214 tyres and underseat charger (USB-C). ![]() This post has been edited by afiqms: Jun 1 2021, 08:42 AM |

QUOTE(myroy @ Jun 1 2021, 04:32 PM) ohhh... I see, meaning that you placed the booking later than me. I've placed booking around mid April and I took my bike yesterday, just before lockdown. It was a very close call but worth the effort going to police station to get the cross state permission.now I saw your post in FB CB650R group hahahhaha... Have fun with your new bike bro, I just informed BW to hold my booking since right now I don't think good decision to get big bike nowhere to go during this covid time especially in Klang Valley |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Congratz on your new ride bro. Yes, for 2021 model, Dunlop tyres are fitted as standard. Not bad IMHO. Anyway, enjoy riding the bike like I do. A practical bike for beginners like me. |

QUOTE(Dreadlock13 @ Oct 8 2021, 05:57 PM) Hey bro nice bike. Just wondering if the CB sitting position feel a bit more relaxed or to sporty. Hi bro, I wouldn't say the riding position is sporty, but it is not relaxed either. I can ride quite upright, still need to bend a bit. But definitely not sporty.I got elbow injury so my right hand can't properly align straight. I did go to bigwing but no display unit available. I did test the CBR. And I hate the riding position. |

QUOTE(Dreadlock13 @ Aug 11 2022, 07:31 PM) Put a booking during Big wing Johor Roadshow. welcome to club bro~ upgrade your license (if you haven't done so) and learn the proper riding to improve your skill~ as you can feel, it is totally different from 250cc~ migrating from kapcai to 250cc is nothing coz the characteristic is almost similar, but not when u go beyond 500cc~Waiting line 4 months. I gave up finding a second hand unit on my 35k budget. So I figure what the hell. I did the bike testing and I'm excited and scared at the same time. 250 was the highest cc bike I rode. This 650 is a different kind of beast. I was about to change my mind and getting the new MT-09.. but i guess this should be enough for me. |

QUOTE(Dreadlock13 @ Aug 20 2022, 02:39 PM) Yeah I upgraded my license. yes, the MTs torque are all over the gears~ I've tested both MT-09 and CB650R before deciding to go with CB650R considering this is my first sportsbike and I need something tamer as a new rider~ still exciting until now, 1 years plus with 16000 km on the clock~ enjoying it all the time, the power and handling is just right for me~I use mt-07 during license practiceand exam. So my expectation with the CB650 was ..."ok probably similar"... turns out... it's not similar at all. This bike top end is no joke. And I was not prepared. But the down low are tame and friendly unlike the MT. That's my savings grace. Right there I thought "yeah I'm like an old man and this is for me" Thank God I took the bike for testing. If not I already book for the mt-09 v3 |

Finally I've taken my CB650R for a total of 1600 km trip from Terengganu to Hat Yai. It was a ride under scorching sun but the bike has no problem with it. Enjoy alexei and Nightstalker1993 liked this post

QUOTE(Aaronnnnnn @ Jun 23 2023, 08:25 AM) Because GS is simply beyond my reach bro. For now, CB650R is the bike that I can ride daily to work (not too big with plenty of power) and take to long distance ride once in a while. And I like the agility of the bike when dealing with traffics. |

Part 2 is up! Riding from Narathiwat to Pattani province with a lot of military checkpoints. Mobile phone roaming service for Malaysian number is barred too. Ride safe and always be vigilant. The Honda glide through under scorching heat without any sweat
