QUOTE(sljm @ Jun 30 2019, 12:40 AM) Hi all, I would give the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) 10.1 inches a good look. It also comes in (I think) two smaller versions. What is different from earlier versions carrying the same confusing name (minus the '2019' part) is that this is a metal casing and very slim and light. It is a full-fledged Android, so you can install whatever apps you need, e.g. the Kindle reader, and it will be wonderful. Below RM1k!!! (Of course, for battery life, nothing comes close to my Kindle Paperwhite!)I am planning to get a tablet. Mostly for reading ebooks. Preferably something that has long battery lifespan. Budget below RM2k. Appreciate your suggestions. This post has been edited by gcmenon: Jul 4 2019, 07:25 AM |

I aso looking for a tablet, mostly for reading ebooks, facebook and lowyat forum.
Budget below 1k, so no ipad. currently using mipad 2, looking for a tablet with significant performance improvement. Or something that can hold-on until folded phones become more affordable/widely available Also very much appreciate your suggestions. |

Since you are familar with Mipad, try Mipad 4.Budget below 1k, so no ipad. currently using mipad 2, looking for a tablet with significant performance improvement. QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Jul 6 2019, 10:39 AM) That's is the current plan, although with SD660 I will that the pad will feel sluggish by next year. current mipad 2 have changed battery twice, and now deteriorating again.whats put me off ipad is that I am not familiar with apple ecosystem. That's why I still suggest iPad.You can get the iPad 2018 for around RM1300, the tablet experience is so much better on iPad. |

Do not have much time to try much but I will seriously consider iPad mini now.You can get the iPad 2018 for around RM1300, the tablet experience is so much better on iPad. |

I must say the iPad Mini 2019 is very value for money. But the size is just too small for some people, I much prefer the iPad and iPad Air, better experience on reading or watching video. |

I would suggest an iPad too. I have an iPad Mini 2 since 2015 and the battery still hold for normal media consumption.
