Hi all, i need an advice. In July last year i've made a personal loan from CIMB Islamic Xpress Cash. RM4000 for 24 months. The interest is very high at 2% monthly, so it is 48% total interest.

I feel like i want to settel it with cash. I've heard this loan you can settle it and with no interest. Is it true?

Here's come the victim.
Attractive Loan, last time I tried to apply but lucky the CIMB staff(that I know for years) advise me to take CC instead of this loan.

And you're not using cash to make payment meh? laugh.gif
Or do you mean early settlement? Better check whether there is penalty and is it worth or not before do it. smile.gif

Anyway, you loan, you pay with interest. This have been repeated non-stop - Bank are not doing charity business laugh.gif

Pleas do consider the interest rates before you apply.
Sometimes, It's better to get a credit card and make EPP than loan alone.

Funny, today I got an email from ocbc agent telling me to apply their loans

RM12k Loan with 7 years repayment @ 12.5% per annum
That's freaking high wei! doh.gif

I thought we have no obligation to accept the loan even it's approved or not mah right?

Or maybe you're saying HSBC provide customer 45 days instead of the standard 7 days, IINM tongue.gif

let me give you an example,
lets say loan is approved on 1/12 and the money will credited to your account on the same day...therefore, your 1st installment would be on 1/1 (standard la...><)...

if you withdraw the money before 1/1,you get full amount (as NO any charges)...
if you withdraw the money after 1/1,you get full amount minus 1st installment...

if lets say you don wan the loan (mayb u got better offer or got other solution), system wil auto "pay" the 1st installment by debeting the money in the account...and if after 45days, you still never touch the money (don take ATM card also), the system wil auto cancel the loan and close the account...
therefore, due to your 1st installment is auto paid by the system, so your CCRIS record will be nice payment record, and after auto cancellation, bank will uplift the loan from CCRIS.

Are you implying that if we applied a loan and never accept it once approved, we will have a bad CCRIS record?
And this is the first time I hear that the loan will go directly into your account immediately once the loan is approved.

It's not I don't believe. This is some sort of things i never really encountered before. LOL

Btw, the CCRIS record I understand lol. but the way adilee said it's like telling us that we will have a bad record, if we never accept the loans after approved.

Why you need to apply for personal loan?  (unless for short term medical reason)
If you can't afford a house, rent a room.
If you can't afford study in private u, study hard to get into public u.
If you can't afford to eat good, eat nasi lemak or mee goreng with little vege and meats.
If you can't afford to dress branded stuff, buy from pasar malam.
If you need to see doctor, go to government hospital, a few ringgits only.
If you can't pay for car, take bus.

There is always a lower cost lifestyle that people can survive.

I saw many people increasing their debts to live luxurious life. They want to compare with their friends.

Always think that foreign car is better++ They don't want to lose face.

Really, one would never went to get Personal Loan to buy house. That's is not and will never ever happen.
But I do agree to majority of your points.
