my friend is thinking of applying for personal loan. currently, he has credit cards from maybank CL 50k, mbf CL 50k, cimb CL 20k and cimb islamic CL 25k. his income is 25k gross after deduction around 17k + nett.

how much can he get roughly and which bank best rate? and he has no car loan / housing loan at the moment.

stanchart allows you to have 3 months period to "think" whether you would want to accept their offer for the personal loan upon approval. how about other banks? is this common practice? or most banks will disburse immediately upon approval?
