QUOTE(constant @ Nov 20 2008, 07:29 PM) At what market price they derived the yield? RM 1.50 MARKET PRICE certainly you will derived to a lower yield...Stick to my target price of RM 1.00 - 1.10 ...Might go even lower if we can wait until next year. But it is not really regulated in Malaysia right?
There is no policy that states all REIT in Malaysia has to payout 90% of its earning. But it is ENCOURAGED in the way that if you distribute 90% or more you are able to get the tax-exempt status, right? This is the difference of Malaysia REIT from my understanding. |

QUOTE(kbandito @ Nov 27 2008, 11:34 PM) But it is not really regulated in Malaysia right? Yes, you are correct on this point. There is no policy that states all REIT in Malaysia has to payout 90% of its earning. But it is ENCOURAGED in the way that if you distribute 90% or more you are able to get the tax-exempt status, right? This is the difference of Malaysia REIT from my understanding. There is no strict regulation that Reit must distribute 90% or above. But if they are not distributing 90% then they will be taxed at corporate level tax of 25% currently instead of tax free. So, it doesn't make any sense not to distribute at least 90% which resulted being taxed, so market automatically view they must/will distribute at least 90%. In fact, most of the reit distributed more than 90%, around 95% across. |

QUOTE(fergie1100 @ Dec 3 2008, 05:16 PM) I already Q'ing at 1.15, but didn't get it. At 13% yield simply hard to ignore it, somemore just wait less than 3 month can get the semi-annual distribution already which is expected in the range of 7 cents or slight above 7 cents. |
