Hi Sifus.
Currently using BadLab clay, and due to cant tahan anymore with its stickiness during applying, so I thought, why not ask all the available sifus and Lowyatian to suggest any good brand available locally or online(Lazada, shopee) also can.
*Products that can create volume effects is most welcome.
Thank you in advance.

The Gatsy clay and wax are good. But i find its really difficult to shampoo off. I've had to shampoo twice before to get the product out of my hair.
I'd recommend Schwarzkopf Osis Osis Texture Flexwax. Good stuff

What is your budget first?
I find that those hair products that you can get from pharmacies are not good for your hair. To create volume you need to blow dry.

Clay is a bit of a heavier product could be weighing down your hair unless you have really short hair styles. Below brands I can recommend, at least those that I've used when I had shorter hair. All below RM 80 for the imported styling products, easy to wash off and easy to acquire through local stockists. 1) Reuzel 2) O'Douds 3) Hanz de Fuko 4) Suavecito 5) Mentega (Local brand)

I tend to think clay is clay and wax is wax and really what's the difference. There are products at the salons that look really nice and attractive, but I'm pretty sure they don't do a much different job than any other clay or wax you have. Now, the choice between clay and wax is indeed a very big difference! Choose well when you are at Watson's (if you don't pay the premium at the salon).

QUOTE(wct @ Jul 14 2019, 11:06 PM) Oasis Clay by Templeton Tonic. Most of good stuffs can be found at sgpomades.com. If you haven't try the good stuffs yet, just stick with Mentega Pomade especially the Analogue Paste which you can get it within Malaysia. SG Pomade need to pay tax? Also how long it took to ship? Usually around RM 10+ after conversion, still worth it? This post has been edited by Adrian_Alastair: Jul 15 2019, 08:34 AM

QUOTE(Adrian_Alastair @ Jul 15 2019, 08:23 AM) SG Pomade need to pay tax? Also how long it took to ship? Usually around RM 10+ after conversion, still worth it? I have plenty of friends working in sg. Getting it shipped to my friend and bring it back to me. Anything below rm100 for quality products are totally worth it. A jar can last you a good 3 months at least and the difference is very obvious especially the washout comparing even suavecito(labmade) with top of the line handmade such as Nostalgic, Flagship, Templeton and etc. Anyway I highly recommend Malaysian made product which is the Analogue Paste(stronger hold compared to odouds matte paste) by Mentega(best msian handmade pomade) if you haven't try those mentioned products. QUOTE(fateaverncus @ Jul 23 2019, 01:05 PM) using pomade better than wax/clay Depends on how your hair is cut and how you want to style. Don't think one is better than the other as there's wax pomade or even clay pomade nowadays.

Used American Crew pomade, really good as it can keep hold your hair & re-style back easily, but the con it is really expensive & hard to get by.
Tried badlab matte max, ok at first but doesnt hold that long like American Crew.
Then tried the gatwsby dressing pomade as it advertised as the strongest of all. Damn disappointed doesnt even hold more than 10 minutes.
Dont know what to use now.

In terms of Clay, I have used the old Gatsby, HDF Claymation, and Blumaan Cavalier Clay before. Out of these, I would recommend the HDF Claymation, just because it is easier to be washed out, less shine. Both Claymation and Cavalier Clay performs similarly, but if I am to use Clay now, I'll go for Claymation. But i've moved on to Hair Paste.

My gravity paste will be finishing. Was just googling hair paste Malaysia and I found out about this Analogue Paste which is made in Malaysia and supposedly have great reviews!
Gonna buy one and support our local brand. And see how it fares vs HDF's gravity paste. I'm a sucker for hair paste. Lol
