I noticed a lot of Grab drivers and other e-hailing drivers are running on normal petroleum when providing e-hailing services.

Actually, does Grab and other e-hailing drivers knows about the existence of NGV as an alternative at all?

NGV, despite requiring 3k-4k investment up front, can be quickly saved back by driving at a wayyyyy cheaper fuel cost.

As of today, RON95 is RM2.08, but NGV is only around RM1.05

NGV is only 50% of the normal fuel price. Therefore, if one month you drive Grab cost up to RM400-500 on just refilling alone, you can save up to RM200-250; 4 months it's 1k; 8 months it's 2k. 16 months you already save back what you invested.

Of course, this only applicable to Grab drivers in Penang, Ipoh, Klang Valley and JB as there are abundant of NGV stations here la.

But have you drivers ever consider installing NGV in your cars? Your fare rate remains the same, but your fuel cost has dropped 50%.

Taxi is running on NGV for years, that's why their OFFICIAL RATE can be so low.

Maybe Grab driver can consider pasang NGV from now on?

Heard some horror stories about exploding ngv tanks due to incorrect installation etc. Is it dangerous?

After installation, need to go Puspakom check.

If Puspakom lulus, should won't explode.

Also, it will decrease your roadtax for 25%

NGV tank in the boot = no luggage space la unless put on top the car.

Where got so big? Just take 50% of the luggage space only.

What are the odds you fill up your luggage space anyway?

That's why I say if you are in Klang Valley, Penang or Johor area only.

Klang Valley still has an abundant of NGV station, despite a lot already closed down.
