QUOTE(legioss @ Jun 26 2019, 10:19 AM)
it's the reflector that makes the difference, light bulbs not going to help much, i have both alza and mazda 2, my alza with projector headlights is bright even if i use a cheapo bulb, but when i use a rm200 piaa bulbs in my m2, just slight improvement

+1 on this comment from Legioss.

I used to own several older cars which had terrible light throw. Thought of changing bulbs would do the trick - spent hundreds on Nightbreakers/PIAA and even opted for 4300K above in the hopes that the slightly 'whiter' lights would fix things...

I was wrong.

Much depends on the reflectors.

PS: Used to drive a BMW E32/Jaguar X-Type and from reading online comments - the stock headlamps are notorious for poor headlight issues.

TS managed to resolve the issue?

Double checked, I am currently using IPF bulbs for my low beams. Looks something like this - http://www.ipf-light.com/catalog/xx/X52new.jpg

140w. Cost me around RM210 2 years ago. So far still working fine.
