I was considering a new monitor and I need some advise from experts here.

My PC used mostly on gaming, and working. I am using 10 year old Acer 24 inch FHD monitor currently, thinking of getting another one due to the old monitor getting dimmer now.

Still want to run on FHD resolution, but would like to have some upgrade:

Perhaps 27 inch FHD? or should I stick to 24 inch?
Looking for 75Hz refresh rate, will it gives smoother experience on Windows and Games? (My GPU is GTX 1060 and might upgrade to 1070Ti or 1080.)
IPS panel, will it makes huge difference than TN?
Response time 5ms or less.

Any recommendation/advise on my requirement above?

1. 24 in vs 27 in, depends on you. 27 in Full HD you'll see pixels bigger, not as refined. Are you OK with that?

2. 75hz not any much difference from 60Hz. What games do you play?

3. IPS panel vs TN panel. On the low end side, a world of difference. On the mid to higher side, TN panels nowadays are difference and not that easy to tell apart unless you have same comparison.

4. Response time lower, price higher.

In the end - what's your intended budget?

VX2458-C-mhd, this model G-sync ready?

Can provide screenshots between Full HD 1080p running on 24inch and 27inch monitor of the same model series using same panel type?

I need to know the pixel size difference for comparison.

below is the 24 in and 27 in 1080p monitor dpi



in comparison 27in has low dpi then 24in, so 27in got bigger pixel.

I mean screenshots of the actual pixel sizes different when they display the same images or graphics as comparison.

like this u need to go for local shop and have a look by your own eye, coz in picture mode u cant see much different while using your current screen.

Need to know is VX2458-C-mhd G-sync compatible?

Eh Full HD aka 1080P resolution (1920 x 1080) whether you run on 11", 13", 15", 17", 21", 24", 27", 32" or whatever ............ will look exactly the same.

You won't see any difference through screenshot, a monitor is a monitor - it displays.

u can't saying that 1080p resolution running on 11", 13", 15", 17", 21", 24", 27", 32" will look exactl the same, coz the bigger screen on 1080p resolution the pixcel will look bigger then smaller screen size. the PPI of the screen will getting lower on the bigger screen.

the prefect size for 1080p is 22" to 24"
above 24" u won't look as nice as look on 24" monitor.

Meaning that, as long as you're on 1080P resolution - you press screenshot button the outcome will be the same, regardless of what monitor you use.

Screenshot won't show the difference.

The only way for you to see it is to actually run screens side by side.

Movies and Gaming = why need IPS?

My movie screen is VA, my gaming is TN / VA.

For me I prefer matte screen.

Thinking of getting AOC C24G1 144hz curved VA panel. I mainly play CSGO and watch netflix.
This monitor seems to have good reviews. Any comments or alternatives?
Also like the MSI Optix MAG241C but its RM200 more than the AOC C24G1.
