Hello Guys, I have been researching about video editing software applications. I am pretty new to editing and there are tons of editing softwares available nowadays. I am referring this article https://beebom.com/15-best-video-editing-software/. The problem I am facing here is that I do not want to invest much right now and they are referring applications which are for professionals (and mostly paid). Can anyone tell me the best software that I can use for basic video editing? thanks in advance

Adobe premiere is the industry standard. But its expensive. Openshot is good enough for basic editing. Most free editing suites are ok for simple editing.

if youre looking into getting seriously into video editing, adobe premiere is a great piece of kit. the adobe software offerings are all very nice and seamlessly work together to meet user needs and project requirements. i'm pretty sure they have a pack where you can "rent" out the adobe softwares depending on your needs and they are much more affordable than getting the whole suite.
