Hi, is it worth it to buy a Nintendo switch now?

Any recommended places to buy? I saw lazada got new ones available for 1-1.1k with good reviews

Where to buy the games?

What game do you want to play .You need to realize that nintendo switch game exclusive is very small. Worth or not,its going to depends on what game do you want to play.

if u are the kind of person that must have the latest and greatest, maybe u want to wait. Rumors are flying around about a more powerful/refreshed Switch coming out later this year.
Else it's a great time to buy IMO, so many incredible games coming out - marvel alliance, Mario maker, Pokemon, Luigi's mansion, animal crossing, hollow knight, etc...

1.1-1.2k is more or less the price u'll find

u can buy physical on lazada (still almost always the cheapest), or go digital with Nintendo Eshop.

personally, after I had my first 2 physical cartridges, I just went digital.
It is troublesome to remove and put in cartridge each time u want to play another game. cartridges don't go well with the portability.
Digital also gives more gold points at 5% of the game price paid.

The exclusives are not that small. You can count how many Ps4 exclusive this year vs the Switch? Probably the Switch just might win.

Whats more inportant is portability. Playing a real console game on the go is just the best. No more wasting time with crappy mobile games.

I will buy any version of multiplatform games on the Switch first if it is not too far off from the PS4 versions.

If you want a smaller switch with undetacble joycon at a cheaper price, maybe you can wait a while as it is expected to launch soon.

went to a shop that had the new switch in store, the owner told me that the new battery enhanced swith has "lousier" display compared to the older model, the screen is not as bright as the old one, and the performance was claimed by some buyers to be slower compared to the old one as well, maybe Nintendo did this to make the battery last longer.

Stupid owner really. Everything he said is wrong about the new Switch. The new Switch is the same performance as the old one, better battery, bright screen, more color accurate screen and runs cooler than old one's. The new processor, is more power efficient that is why the battery improved. Also he probably just lied to people so he can clear his old Switch stock tbh.

Yup that store owner just wanted to sell the old stock since most game stores are out of stock for the new one. Sleazy.

Depends where you're based too -

Klang Valley area have many:-

Mission World
Impulse Gaming
Gamers Hideout
Gaming Gadgets 1U
CK Multimedia
HeavyArm

The ones above are considered 'big players' with good social presence on their FB.

There are still many others not listed here and usually I come across their posts on Nintendo FB etc

TruGaming
etc

Good luck with your hunt! thumbsup.gif
