So, with ryzen 3000 coming, my hands are getting itchy....

wanna do complete platform upgrade from my current Sandy bridge line up, running off SATA SSD.

Saw great deals for PCI-E NVMe SSD at almost 0.1USD per GB on Amazon. Maybe even wanna get entire platform off there after if deals are much better than maressia.....

Question is warranty though, how to claim?
I think SSD and RAM brands should have international warranty la, so could just claim with local disti.

Motherboards and GPUs though, I worry about local disti locallising warranty doh.gif

anyone with experience on this issue to share? icon_question.gif

is not worth to buy item from amazon, sometimes the import fees and shipping fees will cost around near to your device price.
mean that your total cost will around double of the device price you purchase.

I'm looking specifically at SSDs though.

How much import tax etc are we talking about on those?
Currently, I've got a friend coming back from the states soon.
If warranty got international for memory chip items, I could save a few hundred there

Depend on which hardware.

Like recent WD 10TB US79 3 years international warranty. Save more than RM1k++

Why not?

If only aim for SSD I think now China have a huge stock for Intel P4510 RMB1499 Pack Date MAR 2019 and warranty 5 years.

Dare to try?

Also without warranty - should anything breaks down then this could become a huge issue as well icon_idea.gif

No, not for now - do note that some PC parts (such as motherboards) that contain wireless components such as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth may need SIRIM certification, which cost an additional RM106 icon_idea.gif

newegg has return policies if "sold by newegg", not just sold on newegg....
but those farkers used example with "free shipping" for return, but wont show the estimated ship back cost.....

which kinda the point of the tered, which is to seek out those who have bought from newegg and gone through RMA terms etc to confirm details, not necessarily conducted RMA itself.

Most PC hardware these days are multi voltage capable - so all you need is a plug converter icon_idea.gif

Yes, we are all waiting for them really for all that parts anyway. How does that sounds for sure ? I want to buy 960GB Radeon SSD for like $130 max at my local store but for sure will consider Amazon, as soon as they will be released I will put my hands on it.

I also think to buy from amazon but no international warranty make me think twice.
Do amazon cover return shipping fee for warranty claims?
