depends on what you want to refurbish. better list down the whole item and your budget. that will give an idea on what to refurbish and how much to spend on each item. if no budget, then transformation is limitless.

take pictures of ur car, pictures tell a million stories, anything can be touched up and refurbed, best is to look for half cut or scrap car yard shops, purchase those missing parts, be glad u get a free car, least u can sell it

lesson 1: Find a honest mechanic that you can trust for years to come. His good advise will be worth more than RM10-20 difference. It is even more so if you like cars and plan to mod your car from time to time, coz you'll want him to source good second-hand parts&mods for you.

u know what, when i first bought my 2nd hand car, the fat lady owner that owns it , used to stuck hay inside the mitsubishi lancer carboot, urghh, so disgusting, took me ages to scrape the stuck hay in between of the fabric, bought a new floor carpet from parts shop, so yeah, its up to u to make ur car clean and nice, but of course, the mitsubishi lancer was cheaper than market price

because that wira is the earliest batch...many of the parts still have Mitsubishi logo. brows.gif

For the interior we just changed the
-meter panel/air-cond light bulb
-the speedometer
-new carpet mats
-new head unit and speakers.only the basic setup not so expensive
-new steering wheel
-new power window at the driver site

and the exterior
-new original paint job
-new rear light
-new signal light
-new windscreen wiper
-new OEM absorber and spring
-new set of tires
-new brake fluids/power steering fluids/ATF fluids
-new brake pads
-new air filter/spark plugs/engine oil
-adding air con gas

Most of the jobs are done in normal accessories shop and workshop. The detailing part you can do it by yourself.Your house has Astro? Tune into CH 78 Discovery Real Time .A program name " Wheeler Dealer" can give you some brief ideas. icon_rolleyes.gif
