Im buying a cheap ass car. SP want my epf/kwsp statement.
I give them epf statement that censored every number except monthly contribution(from me and my employee). Now the SP asked me to provide doc without censor.

What are the risk?(Im not rich. Just poor peasant.) Should I be worried? What are the details that the banker needs? Should I censor or shouldnt I? Any bankers here can provide insight?

The black censored are for the salesperson. The yellow censored are for lowyat. Means that the sales person see the value censored in yellow.

if you're not comfortable to reveal your monies to the SA, tell the SA to get the banker to call you directly so you can directly submit documents without going through middleman.

Bro, you cant submit with those censored box in any statement.
It's also considered alteration on the documents.

Any numbers, wordings in the documents must be clearly in view. They too want to see whether you are submitting sign tell tall sign of fraud documents.

You want total in control? Make a stamp with the word "Only for XXX Bank Car Loan/Hire Purchase Application only" or you can write the same wording on the every docs submitted and submit directly to the banker/PIC.

Get the SA to give you the banker's email / deal directly with the banker on documents needed.

Just give your SA the unmolested EPF statements. Nobody is going to bother how much money you have in your EPF. You can't be kidnapped and held ransom for your EPF money because it cannot be withdrawn until you reach 55.

banks trusted information?...

LOL..... I had never got so many spam in my phone after i applied for car insurance from a local bank directly.

And that bank isn't some nasi kandar stall...it's a HQ big bank.....

I can suggest you to only strike a word in your statement ( car loan ), to make sure it is not used for any criminal purpose.
Else, risk and try your luck as what the other commenters from the forum say...ask bank to call u.

Censoring defeats the purpose of providing the document.
As mentioned, you can deal directly with bank officer. I submitted my documents directly to the bank officer.
