Do you guys have experience of what they call brain fog? https://www.healthline.com/health/brain-fogIt's a situation where your mental clarity is not what it is used to be and you're not as sharp as before. I'm noticing this for myself where I find it hard to remember certain names, words, phrases that I know is just at the back of my head. I just know that my mental clarity is not working at 100%. For example, was talking with some friends on some gory movies, and I remember very vividly the scene where this person was sawing his own hand to escape. Unfortunately I couldn't remember the title of the movie.(It's SAW after goggling it) Another example, wanting to send an email to one of my colleague, but I couldn't remember her name despite just talking to her just last week. Anyone of you experiencing this ? What did you do to overcome this? This post has been edited by Drian: Jun 19 2019, 11:54 AM

QUOTE(Terrifickshamy @ Jun 21 2019, 09:37 AM) Have you been sleeping well? Have you been exercising regularly (20-30mins per day)? Stress at work? Sleeping well yes - 7 hours a day Exercise - only 1-2 times a week, if I miss one week I'll compensate more the following week. Stress - Yes , but I have been facing the same thing for the past 10 years, so I sort of grown immune to it already. Being forgetful is common, but in my case I could tell that my mind isn't as sharp as what it use to be.

QUOTE(jetblast @ Jun 21 2019, 09:47 AM) My brother had a mild stroke and did not know. One of the signs was could not write properly. My point is better go and get it checked out. Don't assume is brain fog I'm pretty sure I don't have mild stroke, I'm still going to gym and all and I still can write and smile. Even if I go to the doctor, what do you think they can do and do they even know such condition exist. What would I say ? I'm feeling forgetful and less sharp lately? They'll probably do not know how to diagnose the issue. This post has been edited by Drian: Jun 21 2019, 10:35 AM

QUOTE(axtray @ Jun 21 2019, 03:09 PM) Did you change your diet? If im not mistaken, brain fog issue is pretty common when people first changed from carb based diet to low carb or straight keto. though it is supposed to be a temporary thing once the body's metabolically adapted. You know what , you might be right. Been doing low carb a few months ago. But I wonder if it is the low carb that is the culprit or the low calorie. Been eating economy rice without the rice and probably reduce my carb intake by 80%.

QUOTE(chenny99 @ Jun 24 2019, 09:53 AM) I only get this brain fog due to lack of sleep. You take 7 hours a day so it seems enough. Perhaps you have too much on your mind? I think I do have enough sleep. Maybe on and off will have less sleep than usual but usually compensated in the weekend.

Just an update on this , one of my teeth which was crowned and root canal failed but because of root canal , no longer feel the pain. So the root was rotten internally for years. Once removed , i notice brain fog getting cleared. My hypothesis is that i was constantly getting low grade infection from the toxins which affected my brain. Wish I knew about this earlier.
