Hey all, I am thinking to get a 2nd hand Perodua Viva (AT) from year around 2010 or newer.
Therefore, I need advise from perodua viva owners (still owning or just sold not long ago) and let me know your experience with the car like fuel consumption, problems etc....

Urmm my wife owns one but we rarely use it..

I also discourage her from using it coz i love her and it's not safe to drive that tin can.. Only for short trip to speedmart or emergency case.

At least get the axia with abs brakes

Brand new car better lar, newer technology and comfort, with waranty. How big differences can the fuel expenses be for this kind of small car?

Yes new car u have to commit to loan, but think about its safety feature and in the longer term?

Not sure about axia, but sitting in the old viva is pretty insecure for me. You may consider brand new proton iris & persona too.

I drove Viva to work everyday for nearly 3 years. From PJ to Jln Sultan Ismail. If you only plan to drive to work and vice versa, it's an OK car as the petrol consumption is really low. Also, for such daily use, you can't really speed as everywhere is jam. It is also very convenient especially if you need to park at tighter places. However, if you need to drive further distance, I suggest you don't buy Viva. This car will even shake if there's a fast car past beside you. You'll also get bullied a lot by bigger cars.

I own one from 2009. Still working fine. Rarely breakdown. Repaired the aircon and the rubber thingy connecting tires long time ago, costed less than 400.
