I almost had the same problem but... I have like 0.5 cm space left to get the playpen trough the door..
You can still do it though, a playpen should be semi easy to move around, is there something all the way down at the bottom middle to make it smaller for transportation?

I myself am thinking to buy another bed in the future now though... I realsed It will be extremely inconvinient to move the playpen up and down in the house every single time ..
If you have the money I think you should go for comfort.. imagine you carry the baby to the different room and the bed is not there yet.. you need to put him down in a semi dangerous possition (like a sofa) than move the bed again.. and pick up the baby again and put him in the bed.. i'm afraid if I do this my baby will wake up ..

My wife and I initially had that problem too. We now sleep our child in between us on a king-sized bed. It's easier to feed as well.

PS: The baby cot is in the room, used only thrice, and baby is now 2 months old.

Baby sleeping with us. in the middle.

Baby cot sleeping alone downstairs. (i think its a waste of money).
Unless if your room is big. first co sleep the baby with you. after he/she slept off.
put her in the baby cot.

otherwise, use it as a play area with some toys inside the baby cot.

my boy sleep in his cot till 2 yo, now sleeping in between us and craddle.

recommended to buy something like 2in1 cot and bed, which is larger than cot or playpen

I have a Next2Me crib. Very useful and I love it

My baby still using and once outgrown the crib, likely to sell it off

Recommend you to get this crib
