One needs to know the intention of buying a property.
Never think of the resell value if you meant it for personal stay/use, because it's a liability since the first day you signed the loan agreement. The booking fees are the start of your liability, then come your mortgage downpayment, loan repayments, renovations, furnitures...etc...
You could think of resell value if only you wanted it to be one of your investment vehicle.
That's my personal opinion.
