Hi guys, I'm currently using the UnifiBiz plan 30mbps and turbo'ed to 300mbps. I believe my contract just finished and the price went up to 329 per month, kinda feel pissed with the price especially compare to Maxis Fibre's.

Also, I heard Maxis allows Business addresses to get subscribed to Home lines. (I'm staying in a shop-house)

But kinda sceptical with their services, I heard lots of bad stuffs, like slow customer support, and cannot torrent, etc...

Appreciate it if you guys could shed some light here.

The bad part of it is, if technical problem Maxis need to wait for TM, hence sometimes the slow fixing.

so if normal usage should be same like unifi, no problems right? I have a AC86U router, so I pretty much does not need their shit ass router.

Also, are there any difference between their home and biz plans except the price?

As price and stability Maxis is not bad, but once you down... their support is like ... gg! coz they have to wait for TM but if for TM themselves, they can settle very fast.

if you planing for 100mbps, please use Unifi.

If using TM fiber, the priority for sure no for Maxis customer.

My customer using Packet 1 via TM fiber cable in few years back within the KL prime areas...
The stability and speed are inconsistent no matter how P1 engineers went to on-site supports, changed router few times and checked backend gateway...
end up, resubscribe with Unifi on the same TM fiber cable and all problems resolved... confused.gif

For business, I suggest you maintain the supplied Tp-link C5V router, disable the wi-fi and use your existing AC86U as AP because it is better to make full use of the supplied 4G backup USB dongle in case should any problem with the wired broadband arise.
Connection is actually ok and in certain area better than Unifi (me former Unifi subscriber) only disadvantage is if there's a technical problem which requires TMnet service, it will take a few days (sometime a week or two) longer.

It all depends on location... I have seen stable Maxis fibre connection, just as good as UniFi. TS already have a good router, so on his side shouldn't be a problem unless problem from TM.

Well, Maxis 4G in my area is more like MaxShit 4G... sad.gif

I guess it would be area dependent eh? I'm from Alor Setar city area, population not so packed, I guess should be fine right? Like in places like a friend's in a dense housing area, his internet during the day works flawlessly, but at about 6pm becomes 20% less stable, then about 12am onwards like that becomes fine back.

Yeah my area also 4G coverage not that good but at least still connected albeit not as fast as wired broadband.
I had the misfortune of wired broadband down a day before hari raya due to some indo construction workers who accidently damage the DP box cable..luckily the backup 4g dongle kicked in as temporary backup for one whole week..not as fast as normal wired connection but average 20Mbps which is adequate

I'm a loyal Unifi user. I hate Maxis but not about their Fiber. I won't switch to Maxis Fiber due to their annoying spam calls, spam advertisements on TV and radio everyday. Even on newspapers.

I am now paying RM179 monthly for Unifi Turbo 500mbps but my phone still receiving spam calls from Maxis (03-2121 8989). My phone was blocked that number but they still able to call in.

You really tahan bro... For me if installer missing, I will just demand to send another installer. It's not my duty to know why installer is not coming, hence let them investigate but send another installer.

You mean can request another installer? CS only mentioned they are still investigating, and didnt tell me i still can proceed with installation or not. So sucks!
