Pardon my noobish-ness, but whats the big deal about all the different torrent clients? I use transmission myself and it works really well.

It's a matter of preference, just like how I might dig Jessica Alba and you might not.
On a serious note, uTorrent on Windows is amazing, been using it for almost more than 1 year. The benefits include a smal memory footprint and the ability to manaul select your downloads. |

Compare with Transmission uTorrent is at the upper hand
with function like DHT and encryption plus uTorrent have selective download and WebUI... cool aint it? |

Being part of the testing group for uTorrent's OS X port, I'd say it's definitely looking promising, even in alpha.
It is owning Transmission, speed-wise. I can say this-- once it is feature complete, us Mac users will finally have a respectable torrent client to use. |
