I'd take the Mazda if i'm in your shoes. Personal preference. Most peeps gonna hate me for saying this, but until now even though the model got facelifted i still can't stomach the looks of the current gen persona, despite having good safety features etc.

But i'd suggest you test drive both and see which one suits you best. Ppls opinion doesn't matter at the end of the day when you're the one spending your hard earned money to buy it.
