Concrete do not absorb water. Poor concreting works, will result in a lot of air bubbles forming within the concrete structure. The water trapped in these “air bubbles” will eventually drain out. Just got to give some time for the structure to dry out completely.
A lot of water retention structures - water reservoirs, curing tanks in water treatment plants, sewerage treatment plants, concrete drains / channels, dams - are constructed using concrete. Properly done, the concrete structure will be water tight.
Concrete is porous, that's why water proof is needed at above ground floor bathroom. those used for water retention are treated.A lot of water retention structures - water reservoirs, curing tanks in water treatment plants, sewerage treatment plants, concrete drains / channels, dams - are constructed using concrete.
