Hey guys, just wondering, what's the difference between a 017-6xx xxxx number and, for example, a 017-2xx xxxx number? A friend once told me that the 4th number represents the state. 3 and 6 for KL and 4 for Penang. Does it make a difference nowadays? Want to switch to Hotlink, and was wondering what kind of number I should get. And also, I've been reading through the thread, and it seems that there are many types of plans available. How will I know which prepaid simpack is using which plan? Thanks in advance for the help

Thanks David.
So that means if I live in KL, I should be safe getting a number starting with 2,3 or 6?
-edit-
Just wondering, when I register my number, is it possible to fax to Maxis? If so, is there a general number that I can use?
Thanks again.
