Hello, I am currently using Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT

Front 225/45R18
Rear 245/40R18

May I know what is its equivalent for other brands like Michelin, Continental? Thanks

Thanks. These are more for performance right?

If I am looking for comfortness and quiet, do you have any recommendation for the same size and must be RFT? Thanks

Well S001 is also high performance tire category.
If want just mid range comfort tires then Michelin Primacy. Actually if you want comfort, don't use run flats anymore coz it's hard. Buy normal but high performance tires would be more comfortable ride than mid range run flats.

i see, the S001 comes stock. Problem is car don't have spare tyre. Or if i go for non-RFT, get a kit then hmm.gif Thanks for your suggestion, i will read more about this.

Hi, for a tyre with RFT, do they still have the same figures?

Example:
245/40R18 non-RFT is the same as 245/40R18 RFT

As recommended above for Michelin Primacy 4, there is no 245/40/R18 and also the whole range has no RFT version. Or I am missing something here?

https://www.michelin.com.my/auto/tyres/michelin-primacy-4

Thanks

Get a kit and carry an electric pump.

My son's car also doesn't have spare. My car has spare but I don't carry it! 😂 Just an unnecessary weight 99.9% of the time, and in most situation the electric pump can provide the temporary solution. I only carry my spare when I drive long distances.

Hi, may I know what type of electric pump that you bought?

Any picture would be helpful. Thank you sifu notworthy.gif

Talk about luck. Used my second car which run on a normal tyre and got punctured. Had to change it by the roadside.

From Michelin website, it recommends Primacy 3 (I suppose the newer one now is Primacy 4) with the following spec:

225/45R18 95Y MOE
245/40R18 97Y MOE

From what I read, MOE means the tyre has some run flat ability but not exactly a RFT.
Or is MOE = RFT, meaning it is actually referring to the Primacy 3ZP?

Comparing Potenza RFT vs Primacy MOE/3ZP, the primacy should be quieter and more comfortable right, despite both being RFT.

As of now, leaning towards Michelin as my usual tyre shop for balancing/alignment service sells Michelin and already a loyal customer.
