I've been in Malaysia for 3+ years now; planning to upgrade. But really split between CX-5 or a Honda (I like the TD experience of CX-5). I've been told that CX-5 resale value is very poor- I'll lose 30% in 1 year, but if that's the case then why am I unable to get a pre-owned CX-5 at such attractive prices even from direct owner (2017 CX-5 2.0 GLS, 3 years free service, 20K Kms is available at 120K, which means it depreciated <20% in two years). Can somebody help if CX-5 resale value has imprived in recent years?

Also, City Ruby Sdn Bhd able to give much better discount compared to Bermaz- why is it so? any personal experience dealing with City Ruby? I can service the car at any Mazda service O/ls post-purchase, right?

anything else you think I should consider?
