Have been using Unifi all my life and quite stable especially after they Turbo-ed my speed.

Am going to move house to USJ area hence am wondering how is the Maxis Fibre line over there? Am considering to switch to their RM89 plan a month. Any one got experiences coz so far i browse through the forum, most of the members here keep saying the line for Maxis is down.

Just wondering what would be your opinions on switching?

i am in kuantan and been using maxis for past few months. 6 months or so... faced a few times of unstable wifi.. yes wifi only where the wifi disappeared. and now using my custom router and upgraded to 300mbps.. the speed maintained, unlike unifi sometimes 100mbps sometimes 300+mbps ( was previously using unifi). so overall maxis ok...

and in case you dont know, you can combime with maxis postpaid and your maxis postpaid and all the supp lines will become unlimited too... and you will get a 4g backup dongle for your home too... smile.gif

If for me to choose again, I rather choose Unifi, is not because of the line unstable or what, but when you want to get their support... is like begging them like pengemis

No Return call from Maxis
No Update from Maxis
You have to call yourself for update
internal fibre cable issue also Maxpert cant do
depend on Unifi, so their procedure will be (You>Maxis>Unifi(2to3 days)>Maxis>You(Call yourself for update)>appointment after 4 days>Maxis and Unifi will come over if they no FFK)

RM89 is cheap but you have to pray no connection drop else you know la

RM129 previous I from Unifi, call for support next business day one van from TM Unifi come fix. biggrin.gif

this is the different. ranting.gif

Share my experience for unifi

Last year, I have get the turbo upgrade for unifi from 100mbps to 800mbps with same promotion price RM229, but unable to get 80% of the speed by both wired and wireless even I buy new router where can support close to 800mbps.

I have call them, they arrange the technical person, however the fellow told me 800mbps not stable, their is make sure can get 80% of the speed by wired. I snap him back say 80% is wireless and wired should be full speed 100%. He told 800mbps actually not stable, they only can guarantee get 80% by wired, then he closed my case. Hello, this is call services?

After this, I request to downgrade to 300mbps or 500mbps, they told me only can downgrade to 30mbps or 100mbps bcos 300mbps and 500mbps is turbo upgrade, not available to downgrade.

In CNY 4th day, my area happen small fire and cable broken, I have report and they have use more than week to send tech ppl to check but told me actually is TM cable problem, they will report to TM. Few days after, TM repair the cable, then Unifi closed my case without settle my internet connection problem. I'm very angry and report again, wait another week for unifi tech to solve my problem.

I'm very disappointed for unifi since I'm more than 7 year unifi customer. Is it I no longer under contract, so they just ignore my complaint?

Last month I decide to switch unifi to Maxis fibre 300mbps since 800mbps is extra for me and also can't get 80% of the speed. I'm not sure how their service, but at least my price is cheaper RM149 and I use back my own router get close to full speed by wireless. The only problem is VOIP bcos must use Maxis router.

Get Maxis only if you want the broadband + mobile plan. Otherwise unifi is sufficient. Maybe you should check for port availability instead.
