I didn't even bother until I had connection problems.

Mine is Streamyx 1.5mbps and at first I did use G.dmt..........But after a few weeks,I noticed that my telephone line always had a problem.......Then I switch back to G.lite..........Now,it's ok already..........

jus sometimes diffen ppl use certain handshake hv faster sync time

well i know for sure if you know glite or gdmt..
you will not notice a difference..

the difference will be, if your mode is interleave or fastpath...

interleave is used to compensate for slow snr and etc to get a higher reliability, using interleave you will have an additional latency of up to 64ms..
while fastpath is used for reducing latency, best for gaming.. but if you have low snr your stability will suffer..
check up on wikipedia under adsl category, search for fastpath and interleave..
