I recently bought the latest ROG Strix G G531 at All It Hypermart. However to my surprise, i don't see the front lid and the numpad is lighting up (based on the spec it is a digital numpad like Zephyrus).
I tried checking online, due to the laptop is very new i dont see any update/support on this.
Im not sure now it is due to hardware issue or software or does it even have this feature.
Please advice if anyone is owing this laptop.

does that mean new laptop releases could have this issues that requires an update? have you experience this before?
my worry is that, my laptop have only 1 week for 1 to 1 exchange and i thought if its a hardware issue i could exchange it within the time.

Even myself also have no idea whether the front lid and numpad will light up since there are basically 0 reviews for now. But I guess it will not

physically, the laptop looks really nice and sturdy. it quite fast but do note that i've already upgraded to 16gb ram and added firecuda hdd during my purchase. games can be played without any issues. so far played with monster hunter and far cry without a problem. except for the issues i stated in my comments above, it would say its a good mid-range gaming laptop.

Do thermal testing if possible
