QUOTE(JoeK @ Jun 5 2019, 08:26 AM) Adib issue is not racist. It's an issue between developer and temple. Why want to make it racist? Because opposition have no issue. So need to use race issue I also dont agree with bijan, but people who keep bringing this up and say vroom vroom also not helping. QUOTE(wankongyew @ Jun 5 2019, 08:26 AM) LOL are you for real?QUOTE(M4A1 @ Jun 5 2019, 08:30 AM) You are joking right? |

QUOTE On Raya eve, Najib takes potshots over inquest, performance of ministers PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Najib Razak tonight questioned the withdrawal of a lawyer’s services from the inquest into the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim. In a Facebook live stream in conjunction with Hari Raya, Najib asked whether seeking the truth about Adib’s death was not the same objective of the attorney-general, Adib’s family lawyer and those involved in the inquest. “Don’t we want to know the truth? Don’t we want to seek justice for Adib? “A life was lost. All that is left now for Adib is justice. “That too, can’t the PH government give? “The deceased, Adib, can no longer be with his family for Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year. At least the PH government should take clear and honest steps with Adib’s family (as to) what actually happened.” Lawyer Syazlin Mansor withdrew from representing the housing and local government ministry, the Fire and Rescue Department as well as Adib’s family at the inquest on May 27 after a request from the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC). Attorney-General Tommy Thomas explained later that Syazlin was in a conflict of interest position when she agreed to act for the ministry and the department as she was also acting for the deceased’s family, which had a direct interest in the inquest. Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin has since said a new government counsel will be appointed to represent the ministry. Najib said he can still remember visiting Adib at the National Heart Institute (IJN) last December and Adib’s grave in Kedah later. He prayed for Adib’s soul to be at peace, and expressed hope that the fireman’s family stays strong during this difficult time. Najib also said he was concerned with Human Resources Minister M Kula Segaran’s recent remark that 24,000 unemployment cases were recorded last year. The Pekan MP said this number was expected to increase this year, alluding it to what he claimed was a “poor economy, foreign investors no longer investing here, and foreign investors who were already here leaving the country”. He also claimed that private companies are also facing the brunt of unemployment, listing Astro, Tune, PayPal, DRB-Hicom and media organisations like TV3 and Utusan Malaysia as examples. On the RM300 “duit raya” for Felda settlers this year, Najib said that in 2017, this used to be RM500, not including other dividends and incentives. He also took potshots at PH ministers, saying those travelling south for Raya and need to pay toll to go to Simpang Renggam in Johor should “claim” from the Simpang Renggam MP’s service centre. This was likely in reference to an earlier post he shared showing an old posting of Education Minister Maszlee Malik, who is also the MP for Simpang Renggam. Maszlee had previously said there would be no more toll collections once PH was in power. Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has since said PH had pledged to abolish all tolls in stages but having taken power, PH leaders realised this would further burden the government. Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok was mentioned as well. Najib said the price of palm oil was going down and Kok’s “solution” was to drink one spoon of palm oil daily and to do cooking demonstrations in shopping malls. He also said he will be having an open house in Pekan, Pahang tomorrow. SOS Inb4 lawyer issue last week, why on Raya eve only mention. |
