Hi Everyone,

I am looking at moving to Malaysia for graduate school in the coming months. Preferably in February 2020. My study of choice is a Data Science, having looked at Malaysian Universities that offer variants of this course, I am perplexed at the few choices I have. Thus my writing to seek advice.

My options in preference are as below:

1. University of Malaya - Masters in Data Science
2. Asia Pacific University - Masters in Data Science & Business Analytics
3. Universiti Sains Malaysia - Master of Science (Data Science and Analytics)

I have done some research about these schools and they all stand out in certain aspects. However, I would like to know which one I should seriously consider. My concern is that I need a school that is diverse with students from different parts of the world.

Thanks in advance.

How is the course? Is it suitable for someone who isn't from Computer Science nor Business background?

Data Science requires one to come from a STEM background. They usually put mathematics, statistics, physics and the like as good measures of background knowledge. Though they're a lot of people stemming out into Data Science from different backgrounds. If you like what DS entails, please by all means. Try it out.
