Does it happen on wifi connected to TM Unifi? If that’s the case, I think it might be an issue related to TM’s IP range and whatever CDN Apple is using, or something like that. For me, it happens only while connected to home wifi. Both iOS 12 and 13 devices, as well as accessing App Store or iTunes related pages on a web browser. If I switch to cellular data or use a VPN, the issue isn’t there anymore. If someone can confirm for me that it’s indeed a Unifi issue, the maybe some of us can inform TM via their Twitter.

I'm using TIME and I have this problem as well. So I'm pretty sure it's an iOS bug and nothing to do with our ISPs.

Not sure what IP range TIME is using. Do they "rent" TM's backend the same way Maxis Home Fibre does? If that's the case, maybe that whole IP range is affected.

I can confirm the problem isn't there with Celcom or Maxis mobile data or using a VPN. It's not an iOS bug, as the same "blank-icon" problem also happens if I'm checking an App Store page via desktop browser (Safari, Firefox) on my Mac or Linux systems , so it's definitely a routing issue with Malaysian fibre networks.

Can someone inform TM via their Twitter or Facebook. I don't use social media.

Maybe it's an iOS bug that only happens when it is connected using wifi because mine too works fine when connected using mobile data ( DiGi).

Connected to VPN on WiFi and there’s no issue. It’s the IP range, not iOS. Like I said, problem also manifests itself on on the Mac App Store on my Mac, as well as desktop browsers accessing App Store pages. Both home (Unifi residential) and office (Unifi business) exhibit same problem. Connecting to a VPN (Singapore or Japan IP for example) and everything loads fine. I also have a second iPhone still on iOS 12 which didn’t receive any update lately and the problem is there. Apple aren’t perfect, but we can’t blame them for this particular problem.

Seems to have gotten worse now. Even my Celcom or my partner’s Digi experiencing same issue. No problems if connected to a VPN, so it’s definitely a Malaysia problem. Is there any channel to contact Apple. If Malaysia side not willing to fix, maybe we can get Apple to put pressure, since Apple right now probably worth more than Malaysia’s entire GDP.
