hm... i rmb someone already clarify the laws of the chemistry effect of each paint type?
it's like (take the most acidic) Lacquer -> Acrylic -> Enamel so if u apply lacquer or acrylic on enamel, the enamel will melt or something happen la. the same goes to lacquer on acrylic. edited for correct place thx to zoidx_chung and maxim.Freaks  This post has been edited by ShinAsakura: Feb 2 2008, 01:00 AM |

does hand painting requires the kit to be pre sprayed with mr.surfacer first? Because the dude at AF Hobby told me no need. And I realised i got lacquer paint

as long u wan to paint.. it's best to spray mr.surfacer 1st...
so the paint will stick well and not chipped off easily |

as for chrome.. spray can have it..
but usually its for cars/bike.. so dont know whether its ok to spray on plastics.. and i dont think it suitable for plastic.. its hard to achive chrome finish with combining color.. what do u need chrome finish for? hydraulic part? |

Can. Just coat it with others paint first before you spray on it. I try it before and chrome my plastic kits. Damn shine.

the problem is ... i have to strip the kit paint .. coz last time got the wrong spray can..
now headach... have to find sand paper... arrrr |
