ya no color 1 .... but after u spray liao u'll get uneven surface ..... the reason for polishing is to make the surface as smooth as possible like mirror ... so if u polish so hard like until the surface smooth smooth liao then spray topcoat then what for u polish right ??
*
so i get it now! After top coat then polish it!
Nvr used such stuff before so really have no idea!

Sand paper has it own purpose! Especially used on uneven parts, nips point and bla bla bla! I would used them to send the whole kit just to cre8 the effect of war!

To be honest if they are those ready made details plastic (usually made by Kotobukiya) just make used of them, it safe u all the problem, for thruster i would it is really difficult and waste a lot of plastic just to bend the darn thing, really hard to bend!
Another problem is cutting those plastic arent as easy as u think, just to make 2 of the plastic in the same shape is really difficult (difficulty increass while ur pla-plate thickness increase)

thats one of the probs a newbie like me faces xDD so far the only thing i can think of is using heat to bend the pla plate, but somehow the ones i try doesnt look nice  doh.gif

and the cutters i try for cutting the pla plate all dont seem to give nice shapes too...lawl...how do u guys actually do it omg  icon_question.gif
*
hot bending is one of the most headache stuff the thickness of the plastic may be affected if u did not apply ur force right.
U either drill holes according to the shapes then cut making it easier to cut the shape, or cut a bigger size then ur original plan and used sand paper to adjust the size, last way buy those cutting board that can cut shape on flat wood or plastic to cut ur pla-plate (and this u need to spend money more)

lawl paiseh noob here xDD
so any other ways of bending it?

no......i did go and watch those ppl in Zero G talk about it but they also have similar problem.....so either u have some factory used bending plastic machine or anything like tat, u wont be able to make perfect bended plastic.....

yup single action so waste of AIR but in the same time since ur Compressor also does not come with Air Tank and will generate continuously one, u might as well stick with tat style of airbrushing.......just remember to shutdown ur compressor every 20-30minutes incase ur compressor overheat and burn!

but wondering which brand to take..
is there any airbrush which is cheap + good..all airbrush need + compressor need to be over 1k??
*
no need to be over 1k, u just go look for the one tat most suitable to ur budget!

lao.. one whistling.gif
No talk to kaya raya here lar.. doh.gif

Affordable means for budgeted lor... sweat.gif Sien one...
1k compressor doh.gif doh.gif

I'm not that dumb to spend 1k on compressor first..
Get a mid-range de enough lor.. those around RM300-RM400.. just dunno which model perform better and long lasting ma...

1k - RM400 left RM600 I can buy a lot Zaku wor... whistling.gif whistling.gif
*
Deng lah u memang kaya raya one mah! I am using a 1k compressor, the feel really different one, first it is so quiet u can AB in the night without kacau others!
Besides tat it has Airtank better than u need to buy a separate Air-tank for ur compressor, and it can go like 24 hours non-stop, unlike those cheap one sekejap it overheats and need to shut down!

bising takpe..as long as it is ok and cheap..what is the cheapest?
is tamiya airbrush good??
*
300-400 cheapest can find at Petaling Street Venus Art shop or u can also try the Toycity and nanyang there also! If still want to have more choice order with AF Hobby, or maybe a forumer here (forgot the name liao)!
Tamiya AB also depends on the price one! Cheap no good, expensive sure good!

Actually, revell got this pressure gas can which suitable for starter. Not sure it fit with other AB or not.

user posted image

I saw this gas can in Jusco before, but not sure they still retail it or not. It cheaper than compressor, but like it'll use up of pressure.
*
If continuous used u will suffer loss of pressure making ur paint become rougher and sprays uneven!
Another choices tat is cheap and easy available is using our cooking gas tank! it is cheap but dangerous to use!
