The New Myvi 3rd Generation - based on individual experience & finding:-
Pro
- Interior seat space is amazingly spacious
- Resonably good seat size
- NVH is improved (but the stock tyres can be noisy though)
- Wheel arch inner part is coated
- Less floaty
- Silent engine during idle
- 1.3G MT is smooth & short

Anymore team?

Con
- Kluk or loosen metal knocking sound when driving over the bump with carrying rear passenger loads
***Please visit your nearest SC for adding on the "Rubber Insulator" to the rear spring of the absorber***
- No DRL
- For MT the clutch height is rather on the high side (however, can be adjusted at SC!)
- For MT if engine stops in the middle is cumbersone & also a feel of panicky due is required to press Start/Stop button to off the engine 1st before could restart again! (The car can't be restarted immediately)...upon reading through the manual MT needs to wait after 10second only to restart sweat.gif
- Spongy brake feel
- Driver door possible has rattling sound only for those come with Gear Up package!

"Possible" minor hiccup from isolated detected cases - based on user feedbacks - Best is visit SC during the 1st 1000km/h inspection appointment
- 1.5 driver seat usb bracket broken off - please get it fix at SC
- Perodua recently sent a letter (mostly) first wave/batch buyers to have a free checkup to get their spring changed ASAP as according to many owners, it's what causing the "kluk kluk" noise.
- Headlight vibration issue can be checked and replaced for free

Anymore team?

Aftermarket Upgrades List (already available!)
- Door Visor
- Performance air-filter
- Sport spring
- Armrest (squarish boxy type)
- Sunshade (for front & rear side windows)
- Pedal lock
- Chassis strengthening & handling bars eg. Front Strut Bar

Anymore team?

Suggestion for Upgrading
- In-Car Entertainment (ICE) - 1.3 & 1.5 both are using Toyota 2-Din (Double Din) headunit size which is horizontally longer in size. Therefore, is require side bracket!
- Foam - for enhancement of a firmer feel & stability in handling driving pleasure!
- Sound deadening or Soundproof - for a further quietest rides!

Anymore team?

Congrats on v3. I am going to start my first question about wiper. Did you all realized that the current wiper is the click and not the hook type? Can I change the entire hook?

For all my cars, I just change the rubber, using back the original frame.

I see, Good idea too. Didn't think of replacing the rubber only but yet, it's easier to find the entire wiper out in the market.
The current arms is really annoyed me.

Hi All,
I know that there's a forum regarding the NCD but i don't understand the entire process.
Kindly advise if what i am about to do is correct ya:

1st car: Vios ( i already transferred ownership to my cousin)
Insurance: Kurnia NCD:55%

2nd Car: Myvi
Insurance: forgot liao NCD 0%

If i wish to get the refund from my 1st car, i just have to go to the insurance company and do cancellation, get the NCD endorsement right?

Once i got the NCD endorsement letter, i pass it to SA (Perodua) and i will get another refund from the current My car right?

Please advise.

Thanks

Am I the only myvi owner that is facing driver's window rubber seal problem? Whereby the tightness of the rubber seal is causing the window to vibrate and making "tik tik" noises.....

If there is other owner also facing this, please let me know...

Thank you... mad.gif mad.gif

Small matter lah, window squeaking is part & parcel of owning a car tongue.gif Either you go yourself get some window rubber lubricant or just hop in to SC which they too will picit picit some oil lubricant for you too brows.gif

Owning this MG3 needs some DIY hands on I would say sweat.gif

Go to the service center and get them to change it. Perhaps the rubber is too tight that causing it to make noise.

I have few questions that needs some answers:

1. Any good budget tires to recommend? Preferably tires that has grip and also provides less/no noise when driving.

2. Any workaround for the annoying chrome finishing on air-cond? Can go blind when driving under sun. (you know what i'm talking about)

Thanks.

Go to the service center and get them to change it. Perhaps the rubber is too tight that causing it to make noise.

Yes, I do think that the upper part of the rubber seal along my driver's window is too tight.. Doesn't have space for it to flex..... Any idea how to loosen? Or have to replace the entire rubber seal?

You're only missing out on the ASA, factory tint & leather seats
You can get better quality tint and still have enough to upgrade your sound system with extra woofers and a good amplifier.

Is our Myvi eligible for ASA 2.0 upgrade?

Was going thru Aruz's review. They have the ASA 2.0 which has pedestrian auto brake and the auto brake has been included when u are at 40-100km/h.

Would be great addition to our first gen ASA. 😁

Android pie is not supported at the moment. The vendor already come out with the beta version but for you to test it, you need to travel to their office located at rawang.

Yes rawang and it's not Perodua HQ. it's the player company. I contacted them few weeks ago and you need to go to their company and get it updated.
I don't think it's worth to do it now since it's beta version.
Just wait for the update release to Perodua better.

I put mine at the side, there might be a risk that dashcam position might disturb the ASA sensor but perhaps someone else can prove it here that it's ok.

Just done my 20k service, just realize air filter is rm6x. Was thinking to change to performance air filter which is more cost effective. Any group buy for works air filter again ah?
*
well, I can assist in checking out the works performance air-filter again that is washable re-useable over & over again if you like & perhaps, any others whom are also interested to get 1 themselves at about 165/pc if there's no changes in price.

(side note: my last group buy calling wasn't that favourable & welcoming, therefore whoever wish to invest please do all your homework on such upgrades for neither I am a seller nor retailer yah icon_idea.gif )

Hi guys, I just get my myvi yesterday,
I realized when I drove by some small stone on the tar road, the stone chip sound is quite loud.
Is it common issue and whats the solution towards this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Light foot. Always drive on eco mode (below 3k rpm), maintain distance with front car so less braking needed. 😁

You can do soundproofing or foaming to solve the issue.

I recommend GA auto soundworks at KL.

I did my soundproofing on the front fenders, 4 doors and the rear section (spare tyre and rear fender)
so far quite good (hardly hear stones and water splash)..my next project will be the floor plan and foaming the under carriage. Damage: 850 (front & rear).
Next project estimate damage: 750 (floor & foam only for 2 piece under carriage)
Not sure if the price is cheap or expensive. Any comments?

thanks TS for replying, may i know which is more Budget friendly?
Budget abit tight as already allocated fund towards other stuff such as tinting, tyre, and ultra racing bars this month.

By the way, soundproofing at which part of the car exactly? on the 4 doors or rear trunks?

Thanks in advanced.

This should roughly give you an idea. However different brand prices may vary.

Not so sure about budget but the one I attached below should be good enough.

Well if you ask me I would go for wheel arch and boot first as the sound is most apparent from there. icon_rolleyes.gif

They even have the premium ones like Dynamat but that really cost a bomb. I don't really exactly know how many brands are out there.

Foaming also can be a soundproofing solution however its permanant (as in you can't remove it if you change your mind later on and wanna switch car or use soundproofing mat)

ICEZKIWI ,You did the Ultra Racing Bar- may I know how much? Is it worth the investment?
For stage 1 - quoted me rm 785.
Was seriously thinking of just getting the "anti roll bar (rear) without the front strap bar. Don't know if it helps.
I am on standard "spring & shock". So many things to do..so little budget... bangwall.gif

Is 785 include installation?

I ordered the Front bar only, haven't reach yet, will install by my own.

For the anti roll bar, I need to ask my SC whether they allowed it first, some say can, some say can't.

I did install full set Ultra Racing Bar to my previous Kia Rio JB.

For me, I do feel the difference when you cornering, previously 80 KMph cornering on a slightly sharp corner, my car always makan to another lane.
After install, i have better control on it, 80 KMph is not an issue, stick to my own lane. tongue.gif

Not difficult but troublesome because you have to open up the cover to access to the cabling.

If you not make any claim related to electrical they won't bother you much....Even if you wanted to claim anything on electronic, some service center will ask you revert back back original then only make claim

I just worried if i bring the car into the service center for normal servicing and they noticed that i have mirror auto fold function and may void any warranty.

I can't share the Youtube link because i am using office network.
You may refer to the shopee link above. It's a simple mod that enable the side mirror to auto fold whenever you locked the car and open again when you pressed the start button.
The module also enable you to automatically locked the car when you step on the brakes.

One thing I noticed is that there is a slight increase on my engine idle timing. Factory is 500 rpm for idle right? Anyone have had this issue previously?

If it's noises from one of the doors, it might because of some cable within the door that keeps knocking inside due to not tied and stick, they just let it loose and hanging. It was rectify with photos in the previous V2 thread and I'm personally facing it on the rear left door.

I'll be going for my 10k svc next week and will bring it up with the technicians

Short still can be used but the wiping areas will not achieve the desire optimum cleanliness result

Hi, Anyone tried the Sierra Glow - blue flame. For paint protection and shine.
Found out the pricing quite damaging but the result was quite good (as to video).
So just wanna check out some actual feedback on it.
Haven't done any polishing and wax yet after so many months.
Thanks ya. notworthy.gif

The instruction only says "remove the light by using a suitable tool" but never says which tool or how.

I'm also looking for lowering springs not adjustables, I haven't really went full on research about it but so far i've come upon FTuned over at Wangsa Maju ... there's lots of setup as far as i know and they're able to cater to your ride-lowering expectations but the price is not gonna be cheap and do expect drastic changes in your cars handling and your driving style, rather hesitant because of the last part since my car is still fairly new.

as for the headlight you can try SD aerodynamics over at Sunway, they did quite a handful of MG3 and the workmanship seems to be quite good with great reviews. From smoking the headlamps to custom LED and DRL inside it with reflective lines, I'm more interested in their MG3 custom front grill.

Anyone who already lowered their ride or knowledgeable able to enlighten us on lowering our current MYVI? innocent.gif

I think if u want use lowered spring better change to 16inch sportrim together. If 15inch with standard spring easy to sagat, then if more lowered then standard it much easier to sagat. 🤔

Yeah, from FB group first suspension that went off was FTuned. Now many other names like eibach, triple s. As I have no clue about all this and would prefer guidance by others who have more experience in this. Looking forward to other sifus here to give tips too!

For the headlights, SD aerodynamics i have yet to ask but saw previously their headlights for sale only smoked and lining inside...cost rm800. lol. and another guy i found in facebook makes just nice but also, rm700. (link for image)

Where else im just looking for an led tube strip to be placed inside headlight and not cost more than 300... last time my late friend did somewhere in damansara for his Neo around that cost also.. crazy how price changes for new car and demand for style/functionality lol

I can't share the Youtube link because i am using office network.
You may refer to the shopee link above. It's a simple mod that enable the side mirror to auto fold whenever you locked the car and open again when you pressed the start button.
The module also enable you to automatically locked the car when you step on the brakes.

Eibach and triple S are just the brands i suppose, much like FTuned. Best bet would be to call them up and inquire directly for better clarification, but ya know ... no free meal, people might not entertain.

As for the headlights, you wouldn't mind about the pricing if you're purchasing their quality work ... all but a price to pay if you want to play mod kan

For me the sagat kena dekat lantai bawah, 4 or 5 times dy. Not fender. So if lowered the car so it should be more easier to kena right because the clearance floor to road is reduced. 🤔 Im also newbie and first car also. 😆

Bro BBHH85,

If you really want slightly lowered and better performance then you should go for Eibach or Triple S (Progressive Spring).

Ftuned CLS (Linear Spring) is not bad, softer than other lowering spring but still stiff for me, suspension rebound rate is too slow, whole car feels like cracking.

For full load, Ftuned is better in crossing bumps, wont sagat but damn jumpy while cruising on the highway.

For full load, Eibach/Triple S is better in cruising on the highway, super comfortable feels like oem spring, but when it comes to bumps confirm sagat.

So yeah my current setup is 195/55/R15 paired with Triple S as daily drive.

Mr adamdemz92 below has helped us both in suspension tips

Agreed with the headlights. But a bit highway robbery la. Will wait when price stabilize after awhile... more competition with headlight design and lower pricing will definitely force it down sooner or later. Here's hoping hahaha

Sure bro, seller facebook link, couldnt find any WTS post by him as he mostly post in myvi group.. cant link or i dont know how to link group post.

Also, totally unrelated to the facebook link above, this guy from sabah, made exactly what i'd like to have get it done here (photo link) ignore the out of place cooler, still stock engine he say...rm600 cost for led tube hm.but Looks so garang wei cry.gif

Would love for something like that to be offered more around here

I would like to know the engine noise. Is it big difference before and after? Looking forward to soundproof firewall for reducing engine noise, so far I found the cost on other shop around 1800. not sure if it really worth it or not. If just a little difference, better just simply turn up radio volume.

Maybe can add better brake calipers.

if you have the budget, can convert the rear drum brake to disc too might help. biggrin.gif

Bro vernonht,

Perhaps you can consider Supercircuit steel braided brake hose.

Our current one is rubber brake hose.

Here's the link for your comparison:

http://speedmod.com.my/index.php?route=pro...&product_id=105

The price is not cheap tho including workmanship, est below 1k.

If just a little difference, better just simply turn up radio volume.

Firewall did from engine bay.. not worth it if just do firewall

Majority sound comes from floor and wheel arch.. doors are second

ya, might need some feedback from ppl who change their rear drum brake. Not really experienced in this  sweat.gif
Saw it from their Fb too. Is this really good?

Bro vernonht,

I'm having the same problem like you do, squishy brake pedals problem.

And my cousin and some foremen suggest me to change to this steel braided brake hose enough already.

Since i'm sticking to 15 inch wheels and yeah soon i will upgraded this as well.

Bro wtm0325

Did you do door rubber lining as well?

I noticed there's a slight irritating wind noise in the driver side or passenger side when i'm cruising around 120km/h

Pretty sure rubber lining will help but I didn't do.. it is my 2nd car to drive ard town to fetch kids only, seldom have chance to go >90kmh..

After soundproof, road noise still visible on bad road with the stock tyre (Good Year Assurance TripleMax), believe it will be much quieter if change to Toyo NanoEnergy 3 (My Innova is using that and it is very much silent)

Without soundproof, myvi NVH is good if below 40kmh.. biggrin.gif

Hi everone I would like to share some pictures of our TT. This is from our Gathering on Raya 2nd day.
Managed to get at least 11 people to join.
So I would say it's quite successfull TT & gathering.
My target was at least 5 but 11 turned up.
Exceeded my expectation so that a win in my book.
Sorry for late post. A little busy these days.

I got my ride from Sunway Mentari.

You could try there.
