hey guys.i have an issue with my laptop.i want to add new ram for it but it seems like the slots are stacked on each other.my friend said he won't add it because he afraid if the ram got very hot,it will damage both ram and the laptop.is this true?

hi guys,i got a problem with my friend's external hard disk.after i plugged it in and switched it on,windows won't detect it but there's d option to safely remove hardware on d taskbar.i cant even open my disk management.what's wrong with it?
