hi to all sifus, just a quick question and a noobish 1 too. for normal gaming (average online games) which processor should suffice? Dual core? or just the normal single core. and about graphic cards should i go for 256mb or 512mb eg of games, mostly online like WoW, Ryl and etc thinking of getting a rig that could manage starcraft 2 in the future

QUOTE Take E7200 lu. Not expensive and 45nm runs cool and powerful than single core.
GC with 256am are enough for 15 , 17 LCD gaming GC with 512mb are enough for 19 ,22 LCDGaming Thanks for the reference, i think i'll just get a 256mb since im not planning to get a big monitor a 17" will do just fine. QUOTE dual core is seriously cheap nowadays, unless u r really have a tight budget, then single core lor.. Oh my budget is around 1.5k ~1.8k so was just thinking about the processors needed for average gaming not those high end gaming ie half life 2 and its equivalent. BTW how much is E7200 now anyways This post has been edited by moyong: Sep 11 2008, 08:52 PM

hi, just another noob question again
i heard that $$$ mobos are useless if you don't Overclock...
is this true?
my question is that im searching for a rig myself and would like to know about mobo pricing, i don't intend to OC my pc at all (cz i don't even know how to >.<)
just wanted to know what mobo will be best suited for an average rig.
I also heard that cheap mobos tend to cause problems in the long run is this true?

hi guys, i don't know where to post this so i decided to post it here to save space. I've done some research today and came up with this rig Mobo Asus P5QL Pro $320 ATI 4670 GC $350 E7200 chip $390 2x 1gb RAMs $130 (around that i guess) 320GB harddisk $180 (depends on SATA or SATA 2) LCD 17" $520 (the most $$$ ) so i ended up with RM1890 now the prob is i still need a casing and do i need to buy a seperate PSU? Give some opinions please. my budget is RM1.8k which is sadly over due to the LCD >.< i intend to stretch it to RM2k if necessary

do you guys think that the Asus eco friendly mobo thingy really saves energy (consume less power)? or is it just a marketing gimmick?
