My laptop is currently using 30GB Hdd and I think it's time for a swap. The problem here is, can my motherboard handle 80GB HDD? How do I check?

Is that normal that when you install the CPU stock heatsink and fan, you need to force it? Force it until the motherboard where the CPU sits no longer flat. It's a little bit raised. It's like swelling, but very little only maybe 2-3mm raised. Is that normal?
BTW, I am mounting E8400 to Gigabyte EP45 DS3 mobo. This post has been edited by lswang: Sep 28 2008, 03:00 AM |

Well, i get what you mean. It's like a daunting task to mount the intel stock heatsink fan. You really need to force it. Now, my mobo is a little bit bent. It swells a little bit. I am worry it will damage my mobo. Will it?

I have a Centurion 5 casing with gigabyte EP45-DS3 mobo. I notice that the power LED of my casing will blink periodically. It will light up for 5 second and then go off for 5 second. Is that normal?
