if u ask me, it does sound much better.i'm using a 3 year old centrino 1.6ghz. last time acer laptop sound quality damm sark la.so i bought 1 audigy 2 zs pcmcia to plug into laptop(not for u, dis is for older laptops).i think its because of low demand from ppl .so ppl will try to get as much profit as possible. i bought my A2ZS for 440 from viewnet last time.

i read my 8800GT box,its written there at least 450Watt true power. but then,depend on ur overall hardware and ur number of peripherals too.including the fans.
