cl2.5 and cl3.0 sure different. Never heard different timing can run dual channel. Try this,
change the CAS# Latency to 3.0 for both (change can be made in BIOS configure - MOBO). Maybe it can run dual channel after that.
*
Never tried using 2 different stick with different CL before but tried using 2 different pair with different CL (one pair is CL3, another pair CL2). This will work in dual channel but timing will be configured automatically by itself. Sometimes causing the Mhz to go way below the 150Mhz mark..(thats for DDR400)..

Simple Question here..

Does computer peripherals especially wireless stuff need specific battery capacity?I am about to purchase a wireless mouse and wondering, do it need specific battery capacity like 1600mAH or 2700mAH etc?

Below RM300 for GPU and below RM200 for PSU to give a bit juice
*
Below RM300 is hard to find for mid range PCIe cards..

In this case, what games do you play?

I would recommend you getting the 8500GT DDR3 version or maybe the older gen 7600GS/GT perhaps? Or of you are willing to buy 2nd handed, i guess 2nd hand 8600GT would roughly be the same price..

PSU wise, these are not power hungry cards. But if you are really interested in getting one, the ST400 is a nice PSU from Silverstone at a sub RM200 price..

it increase the performance actually..but sometimes the setting doesnt make sense, so we can just forget about the channel thing, and focus on the bigger size..

let say, u are currently using 512x2 (1gb dual channel in ur system), and u would like to add another 1gb ram to make it 2gb..
considering the price of 1gb ram currently, instead of buying 2 more 512mb sticks, it is better and cheaper to get only a piece of 1gb right? yes the setting wont be dual channel, which is 512mb+512mb+1gb, but all that matter is size, not the channel smile.gif

thats my 2cents..hope u can understand my statement biggrin.gif
*
Yes you are right. There isn't any major difference on Dual Channel. I guess, an increment of around 10 - 15% according to Kingston last time?

Well, by all means, its hard to feel the small difference. Therefore, having bigger capacity is going to give you a more significant boost instead of running dual channel. Of course, having both will be the best.LOL.. tongue.gif

quick question.....(specs in siggy)

lets say i wanna run on 4gb DDR2-800 rams ... which would be better to buy??

2x2gb sticks

or

4x1gb sticks?
*
In my experience, i recommend you going for 2 * 2GB. This is because, you will still leave yourself with 2 slots for future enhancement in case 2GB ram drops its price like mad. By that time, you will have 8GB of memory..LOL..But that is of course, depending on whether you are going to OC or not and is price a factor..LOL..

got a question to ask here. If my mobo can suport 2 types of ram(sdram and ddr), can i use 2 different kind of ram on it, for example, one is ddr ram and another is sdram.
*
No you can't. You can only use one type of RAM on the mobo itself...
