QUOTE(LeechFever @ Nov 18 2008, 11:21 AM) Anyone know how to clean the interior of a pc? I know that you may need to disassemble some components to actually clean em but what say if I use a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the dust? Will that actually do the trick? Or any other idea. Vacuum to clean up the casing is ok. Just don't use it on any part of your computer (mobo, GC). |

QUOTE(riziger @ Nov 20 2008, 02:32 AM) Can someone clarify something for me. If you have 4gb of RAM and you use a 32-bit OS, you'll only be utilising 3.25gb-ish of your RAM because of 32-bit OS limitations. If you use a 64-bit OS, you'll be able to utilise all your 4gb (and more if you add more).I've read somewhere that with 4gb of ram you will only fully utilise it with Vista on 64bit or something like that? If so, which version of Vista should i take? Another thing, for buying my BenQ laptop, is it ok to go to their Damansara Perdana branch and buy straight from there? |

From what I gather your mobo supports a max of 2gb. So go and buy 2 sticks of 1gb DDR400 RAM. That should cost you around RM200...
But I suggest you only buy 1 stick, and save up on money to get a new system |

QUOTE(keanoppy @ Dec 1 2008, 01:55 AM) Yes..QUOTE(Faint @ Dec 1 2008, 12:16 PM) If your motherboard support dual channel, i suggest you either remain your 2x1GB RAMs or upgrade to 2x2GB RAMs then sell off your old RAM ! 3gb ram > 2gb dual channel anyday.Don't forget 4GB RAM will only fully utilize on XP 64bits or Vista Service Pack 1. |

QUOTE(akmalzakishuib @ Dec 2 2008, 01:54 AM) ok this is a real noob question : 3) Usually no. Just install the new one over the old one.1) For driver update, should i download straight from the manufacturer's website ? ; or 2) download from the cd first, then download the update ; or 3) if i already installed a driver , should i remove the old driver and re-install with the new update. 4) should i install a beta version >? 5) i just downloaded asus xonar d2x driver. when i open the zip file there are setup icon and an XP folder (inside the XP folder another setup icon) so which setup to click la ? Cheers to all help !!! Usually the drivers that come with the hardware are outdated. You can choose to install these first and then install newer ones or just install the newer ones. |
