http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/sunday/...-name_page.htmlIT'S the reunion rock fans thought would never happen. Led Zeppelin are planning to re-form for a massive world tour. The surviving members of the Seventies "Whole Lotta Love" group have been approached to headline a memorial concert for the founder of their record label, who died last year. They are understood to have agreed - and during discussions about the concert, they gave the green light for a tour afterwards. Singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones will be joined by the late drummer John Bonham's son Jason. Led Zep, who split in 1980 following the death of Bonham, have reunited only a handful of times in the last 20 years - most famously for Live Aid in 1985.

Oh my gawd..... rumours of a reunion tour have been denied over the years, thus this still seems unbelievable. And Jason Bonham filling in on drums, not surprisingly. Definitely someone worth watching, although Dave Grohl is probably darn disappointed knowing this. Seems like more and more classic rock bands are jumping on the reunion bandwagon while some other band tried (VH ). Pink Floyd reunion too please! Malaysia please... Malaysia please... Malaysia please......... This post has been edited by led_zep_freak: Jun 26 2007, 12:42 PM

i guess you all havent read about jimmy page on this mock up wiki site. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_PageIt has also been rumored that Page is the father of Optimus Prime due to the fact that over the years he has transformed from looking British to looking Chinese. Page has six fingers on his left hand and two on his right hand - perhaps the rarest form of polydactylism, but exceptionally beneficial to a blues and rock guitarist. Whilst the lack of the middle finger on his right hand makes him unable to "tap", Page himself has deemed tapping 'unmusical' and 'lacking in vibrato'. Page is allergic to Broken Glass, really bad music and Enter Shikari. The mix of bad music immediately led him to writing classics such as Sick Again and Black Dog, which he went back in time to write 30 years earlier. Jimmy knows how you feel about Coverdale/Page, and he doesn't care.

"Page himself has deemed tapping 'unmusical' and 'lacking in vibrato'" Erm.I think that way too.But so what,Since I've been loving you is still rocking! But I must say that the performance in Knebworth 1979 really sux.I think Page was too high.He miss a lot of beat. Madison Square performance is awesome!

That site's information is inaccuratelar... Jimmy Page is currently co-hosting Top Gear with the name James May : Anyway I beg to differ, Knebworth was an amazing performance, Page was kinda sloppier than usual but Bonzo and Jones were still bloody amazing. The rendition of Kashmir and Achilles Last Stand are itself a testament to how tight a band they were.

UPDATED.
Led Zeppelin will reform for a one-off show at the O2 arena in London it was confirmed today (September 12th).
The band will reunite for the show on November 26th, topping a bill that also includes Pete Townshend, Foreigner and Paulo Nutini with Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings backing those three acts as well as playing themselves.
The show is being held to raise money for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which pays for university scholarships in the UK, US and Turkey.
The fund was created in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who died last year. He worked helped further the career of a host of acts including Led Zeppelin.
"During the Zeppelin years, Ahmet Ertegun was a major foundation of solidarity and accord. For us he was Atlantic Records and remained a close friend and conspirator," explained Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant of the band's decision to reform. "This performance stands alone as our tribute to the work and the life of our long standing friend."
Tickets for the show cost £125 each and they are limited to two per person and will be distributed by ballot only.
Those wishing to go must register on Ahmettribute.com to be in the ballot. Registration closes on Monday (September 17th), while any tickets that appear on online auction sites afterwards will be immediately cancelled.
A big after show for the gig is set to take place on the night at the O2's Indigo venue.
Led Zeppelin will feature original members Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, while Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, will play with the band.
The band will also release a new best of compilation, Mothership, on November 13th.
Promoter Harvey Goldsmith said at the moment the band "have no plans to tour but hopes they will". He added they were enjoying working together again and were currently planning a two hour for the gig.

Saw it on The Star today too. It would be great if the show's recorded, and Pagey working on his ultra-sloppiness of recent. Hopefully Plant and Jonesy would be in their top form.

And I thought they're coming over... until I see everdying's post.
But it's good news, having them reunited. Pink Floyd reunite? Highly impossible, as David Gilmour himself said he wouldn't do that.

No chance for a reunion as he's usually too busy sunning himself in barbados
