I'm trying to find out what are the restrictions for a probation account (besides post count), as I realised I'm not able to post in RWI.
Is this intentional?
Thanks.

Yes, you'll need to complete your probation before being allowed to post in RWI.
At the moment there are no other restrictions in place for probation accounts. |

do all new accounts have to go through probation or only if the moderator finds your posts annoying?

I have another probationary user account (CreamSauce) and I find the 12-hour cycle interesting. I am not sure if this is correct:
1. Post #1 in 2:32PM 27-Sep 2. Post #2 in 5:49PM 27-Sep 3. Post #3 in 5:55PM 27-Sep I was able to post again at 4. Post #1 in 2:32AM 28-Sep ..... |

All new accounts will be subject to probation status. You are allowed a maximum of 3 posts within a 12 hour period.
Probation accounts are not allowed to edit posts, and are also subject a a number of other restrictions. You will be automatically promoted out of probation once you have made at least 50 posts anywhere in the forums (not to be confused with your post count). |

I feel the Probation to apply to /k/ too. Those "P" posters don't give a shit about restrictions as long as they get their messages across.

Is there a countdown of some sort available somewhere for me to see how many hours out of the 12 I have left before I can post again?
It's incredibly frustrating having to click on "Add Reply" over and over again to see if the restriction is active or not. It's also highly frustrating only being able to post 3 times in the span of twelve hours. I'm sure you have your reasons, but it's not a great experience for new members. Having to save all replies elsewhere just so I can contribute when my quota is refreshed isn't fun. |
