7 air cond x 24 hrs = Rm40 permonth x TNB come remove meter devided by 300% penalty on TNB estimate bill , bull due Rm5600 for 3 months cheating

Previously the digital meter, yes, very widespread cheating, even my own relatives install like no end and they don't care or feel guilty of cheating at all even recommend and spread the contactor to others.

The device even comes with a remote, press once straight the meter off, the reading no more. They off it at evening after end work, morning on back when go to work. At night aircond full blast. Damn nice.

TNB not that stoopid lah
They count number of air conds or check previous bill
They also know the average for the houses in that area
If they really wanna check , they can install a sub meter on the tiang and monitor your usage

Smart meter no, cuz it talks to the grid via 4g modem.

I know this one guy who used to tamper his meter at his 2 stores shoplot. Downstairs cybercafe upstairs snooker centre. Then kena kantoi by TNB. Then went to see MCA Michael Chong for help. But end up kena long lecture not by Michael Chong but by one of his staff. Embarrassing.

Old electro-mechanical induction energy meter yes you can use magnet to interfere the motor inside, ie slowing it down so that your meter move slowly.

However magnet will not work with digital smart meter. You may damage the smart meter by putting the magnet near it ie erase the memory component inside the smart meter and potentially erase the firmware / program inside.

One way to hack the smart meter is to hack the data communication protocol between the smart meter and TNB system. ie Man in middle attack. However most of the time the communication data is encrypted.

can meh install magnet ... malacca already using smart meter which use some sort of wifi to read all the meter... maybe need to use jammer then tnb cannot read anymore hahaha
