Searching for front and rear tires for my motorcycle, I kerja Dahmakan so I'll need something good in the rain, (bila tgh corner atau flying on the highway) lasts long but won't break the bank, sounds impossible I know but there's so many "best affordable" tires for big bikes that offer all three qualities, wondering if theres any for the "scooter" category or as we know it, kapcai. Thanks in advance. Picture for tire size etc.

Corsa S123 and Corsa Sport Rain both did good on my kapcai in rain. Both has similar price range too.

The only downside of corsa S123 is it quite heavy compare to Sport Rain. Mybe its bcoz the hard compound material for extra mileage. Thus take a toll on kapcai pickup.

Sport Rain imo has the best grip in rain bcoz of the soft/medium compound material of the tread to displace water. However, it doesn't last as long as S123.

I have tried corsa s123 on my dash 125 before, the rear tyre. It IS rather heavy because of its hard compound, & pickup power got decreased quite significantly (even bypassing car is becoming difficult & sluggish as hell which before this, was rather easy to bypass either normal speed car & trailer/lorry). Not even a week, I changed my rear tyre back to other medium/soft compound tyre.

However, I highly recommend corsa v22 platinum or corsa s88. Both of these are good. The v22 is a bit expensive than s88 because of it being the latest model. You can't go wrong with either 2. I installed these 2 tyres on 4 bikes; 2 honda dash & 2 lc135 v1. My current dash 125 is using v22 for the rear tyre, nearly clocked 10 thousand km mileage, the 'bunga' still intact, but now it has started to feel wobbly or goyang2 a bit when hitting on the white line.. However, I still can ride under rain confidently. Fyi, most corsa tyres have good wet grip, better than most factory stock tyres on any kapcai.

IMHO, choose either v22 or s88, and avoid s123 for kapcai below 150cc because standard kapcai under 150cc doesn't have enough power to use heavy tyre.. U still can use s123 but u MUST change the sprocket ratio to increase the pickup power a bit, albeit sacrificing top speed. Or, u can use 70/90 size on both rear & back tyres. However, bear in mind, the rotation of the rear tyre will be affected if u use the 70/90 size since that size is meant for front tyre.

I hope this will help smile.gif
