Hi everyone, can anyone recommend any youtuber, website or books for someone who is interested to learn to draw manga or anime art from zero?

I've an ipad and downloaded the procreate apps but was overwhelm with the option given as i've zero knowledge in art or drawing. Hence kinda lost on where to get started in order to further deepen my knowledge little by little.

Im trying this as a side hobby and potential future side income as i have fixed job currently.

I had some reference famous artist use to draw manga at youtube but i forget to save that link. He is artist manga japan well know with his detail draw manga. Try to see tutorial at youtube begginner for manga. Learn rule about manga include composition and emotion or gesture character..

If you looking for good software draw comic you can use Medibang(for tablet or laptop), photoshop(edit background, put effect, color and so on) and illustration(put dialog). Actully there are lot but you need to search.

Some tips before you practices draw manga. try to draw at least 5 page size A4. 1 page have 3-5 box scene. You can try to draw about your story life or shared some joke story. Its okay if the character doesn't look good, the most important is storyline. Take a look 2D character shin-chan!. This only look simple but what attract people to watch because the storyline. If you still lost try to read manga. Try to feel and see how mangaka create their own master piece. Don't copy their style instead try to inspired and create your own style.

Btw who your favourite artist comics Malaysia??? or any art manga foreigner..

Hi,

Following are some suggestions that will surely help you:

1)In the start I would suggest you to practice drawing faces.

2)You can take help from different you tube tutorials.Remember drawing includes a lot of observation.

3) You would make some pathetic attempts in the start but the more you will practice with patience and interest the more awesome results you will get.

4) Before drawing spend some time observing the object, focus on the basic shapes.Every thing has basic shapes.

5) Study perspective and lightening.

6) Go for a drawing class.

Manga includes a number of different styles.First learn the basics of drawing then choose your favorite to practice in.Remember, even the experts spend proper time in doing research to improve their work. And in today s age with the help of google and you tube
you can find excess of learning materials, all you need to do is devote time and effort.

BEST OF LUCK
