3.5k quite tight in budget, likely some Ryzen5+GTX1650 combination. The main issue with such lappy is they typically have some terrible looking display.

IMO, the requirement above is quite hardpressed as GTX1650 itself is almost 3 years old and it isn’t even a powerful card to begin with. I’ll suggest topup some budget and get a lappy with RTX3050 for a better chance to age gracefully next 3 years. Another thing to note is the taking off of USB4 up ahead, which historical (from USB2 to USB3) shown that it may made old systems feels more obsoleted quicker.

Those are “office” GPU which isn’t fit to play games (can do but you wouldn’t enjoy doing so, need to lower down the resolution to 720P and ETC).

Get something with GTX/RTX as the bare minimum.

Ryzen5 is fine and generally better than (existing) i5.
